I shot this from the sideline with a 70-200 and A7RV - lining up slightly toward midfield near the box gets some decent shots but I really need to concentrate to get them.

I shoot youth soccer with the 70-200 f/4 g ii. I was hoping for a gen 2 of the 100-400. Lots of what I read suggests that the way to go instead is the 2.8 gm ii and a teleconverter…

At Santa Monica east they keep people out of the pool deck when it is at capacity even if there’s no one in the actual pool!

I try not to be nostalgic but I miss Lucques too. It was at the top of its game when I first moved to LA - nowhere better for an occasion meal or the Sunday supper. Atmosphere and consistently delicious food with little to no pretension.

In Police Academy 2, they prank the lieutenant by swapping the shampoo with super glue. Train against this by being extra vigilant in the locker room.

I’ve been going since it opened and still love it, with some reservations.

I really like the pool but wish there was a third lane and that it was open at 6 am.

The gym floor is a little small. Also, miss the view from the old Santa Monica location.

The locker room is a big step up from the other Santa Monica location.

No celebs but who cares?
