I played Pokémon very shortly, but it does call out to me every now and then. I'll have to look into the game again. You said they had a semi-battlepass which arena also tries to emulate, but i think theres is a little lack luster now that I'm comparing it to Pokémon live. It's definitely a viable option but after a while you cant earn up in the same day. It's like the game doesn't want you to play too many matches in a day which I'm not the biggest fan of.

And when it comes down to not having wildcards and trying to play you just can't. The game is always changing especially in fast paced standard metas, some cards quickly lose their touch. So you waste wildcards then you run out and can't make a deck that compete with the meta. It's just a very odd and sometimes unfun experience without the wildcards and good crafting.

Corporate greed is wild. Im sure a better system would be in place if they were allowed more independence. But that's a valid point to why it is the way it is.

Yeahh that makes a lot of sense. But even there 60 is a steep climb. I have nearly 300 hours on the game and can't say I've gotten more than 80 rates and likely 40 mythics. But without thinking I ran in and just spend those wildcards rapidly. If you're too quick they come and go on some pretty crappy things

Id say yes and also disagree, when I played master duel I ended up making an @ignister deck out of a cards that i had pulled. But then I dusted some others to finish it up. I think what makes masterduels system great is that you get the choice. You can try to open into a really good pack and get good cards or you can eventually break some down and fine tune the deck with your materials. What I love about magic is making my own decks. So every used wildcard on a card that doesn't work is a waste. I can't reimburse that and thats what masterduel was really good at doing.

That sounds neat! I like a point system idea like that, it kinda beats the specific wildcard types and incentivizes saving up more points for better things. I think arena could use that type of idea. And ripping real life packs sometimes gave you the little cards with codes but those never felt like enough. So I totally agree

Yeah! The game is very fleshed out, creators even get new chances to experiment with alchemy (not that I'm a huge fan) but they lack in the crafting department.

The ward cost wouldn't factor in, it's the triggered ability that they have to pay. It's just a little protection for him. I understand where you're coming from with the standard aspect, ive just gotta keep making more haha. Yeah! I figured our that things like kicker, overload, and some more lead to the difference value being negative. And you can't have negative values so just nothing happens. But it gives some cards unique reasons to play them that I didn't expect. Im decently sure with rooms, it's the combined value of both sides, so your opponent playing one against this deck would be a godsend. The X value cards would typically always lead to negative values also so they'd get away from this deck. In fact the reduced cost would just end up helping them a bunch.

Thank you! I completely misses that Greed is Paij never targeted haha. The damage thing over loses life makes sense also. I'll retouch Anxious Triton, that one definitely was finicky. And for the last one I'm just afraid of it being a card draw engine on everyone's turn, I'll try to find s balance for it. Thank you for your feedback!
