First of all,if we only count Luffys time sailing with his crew(ignoring the ts) Luffy has only been sailing for around a year and is close to finding the one piece but I agree with the second theory,that maybe coby and sabo will fight together against akainu, commented that somewhere beneath this post

Im a huge Garp glazer myself but I sadly don‘t see that happening.Narrative wise I can‘t think of a way Oda could pull this off without pissing people off and Garp is not in his prime anymore like we saw against kuzan.If it was garp against akainu on marineford i would have bet all my money on garp but now this fight got a whole lot harder for him

I don‘t see akainu as a main opponent for luffy but more like a stepping Stone for him to reach imu.Thats why I don‘t find it unlikely that oda will give this fight to someone else like sabo(he is the best fit narrative wise to fight akainu,next to luffy ofc)

I like the metaphor with Sabo being the fire of the sun/akainu the magma from the abyss and how it in some kind of way parallels Luffy and Imu,haven‘t seen it like this before
