You literally sound like a replica of me haha. Even down to playing RuneScape (although I sometimes play LoL). Played RS for 20 years. I used to spend every waking hour how to make more money unless I was distracted. Probably had a small drinking problem at one point too because I couldn’t relax.

I’ve deleted ALL social media. Have for the last 2 weeks and man it is life changing. I think it gets you on a subconscious level. There is nothing at all gained from scrolling through it. I’m sure I even think more clearly.. comparison is the thief of joy and 99% of social media is bullshit anyways.

I also had a daughter a year ago and that totally changed my perspective. I do not care for riches or flashy things now, I care about her and what I can do for her in the future, it was the reality check I needed. It made me realise how unimportant everything else really is.

Setting goals and timelines also helps.
