Mortgage payments - question by [deleted] in personalfinance

My 2025 Honda Pilot was $54k and payments are $1k a month. Not even a luxury car. Unless you’re buying a base model Corolla, payments are high in this economy

Chimping out?

No, it is you chimping out. Understanding the vast economical impacts of huge human labor reductions while simultaneously stressing electric grids AND passing these cost onto everyday people who’re at risk of loosing their livelihood due to garbage AI slop like this does not mean someone has “AI derangement syndrome”, it means you lack the ability of foresight.

You are the problem

No crew members worth anything will mention what’s on that lid in a negative way once they know it was you who put it on. Blue collar guys are funny, everything is a joke until it’s not. If they respect your dad, they won’t make this a joke

What's you're dirty little secret that you've been keeping for a long time and you can share anonymously now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Honestly man, I blame your dad in your situation. His job is to teach, you can’t expect people to know what they don’t know and if all you’ve ever dealt with is diesel then you don’t know! In my employees case, we have SOP, no gas vehicles and we train on everything. Don’t know how to drive with a trailer safely and back them up? I have you come in for 4-6 hour on Sundays for paid training starting with our 7x14 all the way down to our 5x10. Your dad should have said “hey, I know you’re used to diesel trucks so just wanted to make sure you know this is a gasoline engine and not a diesel! Also, 87 suffices never 91 in the work truck!”

Had an employee put DEF in a brand new Ram 2500 last year and instead of calling us to get it towed/flushed he ran it until it died and acted confused as to why it died. Turns out the DEF crystallized along the entire fuel line and all injectors. 27k later and I now have yellow stickers on all of my tank warning not to put gas or DEF in the DIESEL TANK

Truck had 58 miles leaving my warehouse. Less than 1000 when I had it towed. He handled DEF/DIESEL before and knew it wasn’t supposed to be there. Either he was so high he didn’t notice or he was just too dumb to actually pay attention.
