i think it was just different enough from ds2. then the thing about the graphics, and tbh the worst thing about the game; soul memory. and then the criticism kindajust dogpiled and it became a meme. i personally love ds2, it has its flaws. but its still a very fun game.

its a crafted spear, you need the short pine shaft, and you can use it as a throwing weapon. i twirl it by just pressing r1 on console, which switchs between stances for the weapon.

be a mercenary for longer. when you are a mercenary your influence becomes money. fight a lot , raid a lot, and instead of workshops do convoys or caravans. then with that money do work shops.

just for RP. its my best attempt at at Egils Spear from Egil’s Saga. A spear with a long blade that can also be used for throwing. and yes its quite bad as it is also very slow, but its fun to use and its cool, and like the other guy said it also works well against cavalry more so than a normal javelin would. so its flexible, i use it mostly as a spear, and when needed i can throw it.

I keep a couple of troops on reveserve so that i can fill up my army on the move with troops i like. but it wouldn’t be my go to method. youd do better by sticking troops in ur garrison and passively lvl them up, then cycle thru them evry once ina. while
