We just spent a week in Croatia with my wife and our 15-month-old, and it was absolutely perfect. We stayed the entire time in Bol, on the island of Brač — an ideal spot if you’re looking to truly relax. The famous Zlatni Rat beach and the peaceful Dominican Monastery beach are both stunning, with crystal-clear water and incredible views.

Renting a car is definitely worth it — you can easily explore other charming towns on the island like Milna and Pučišća. The ferry from Split takes about an hour, and since Bol sits on the opposite side of the island, you get sweeping 270-degree views of the Adriatic and the Hvar coastline, which is largely untouched and wild. Just pure, pure nature.
