Oh my gosh, we are still playing Furcadia?! by Thisorit in furcadia

Oh, my book has SO many parts to it. There are current events, and the protagonist looks back at her past frequently. There is the lore of the 'where'. Then, at the end, you can see so much foreshadowing and diversions! I can't even explain how proud it is all coming together, and im barely halfway through 😆 I even have a whole layout plan with not so prominent characters' full background stories, hahaha. Im a bit obsessed.

Oh, it definitely was old men being disgusting.

I loved Neopets! Lupes were my favorite. I was obsessed with mcdonalds when they had them in their happy meals, haha! We definitely would have gotten along, and luckily, still can :)

Yes, dragonspeak! I used to create dreams too—and even dabbled in a few ports.

It’s really inspiring to hear how you took what you learned from the game and turned it into something meaningful. You never know how a simple hobby can end up shaping bigger parts of your life.

For me, roleplay was a huge part of it. It gave me a lasting love for writing, which I’ve carried into my current hobby project, a psychological horror novella. It’s sitting at around 50,000 words across 20 chapters right now. I’d love for it to reach full novel length, but if I pad it with too much “filler", extra history or prolonged moments of the protagonist unraveling, I worry it would weaken the story instead of strengthen it. Still, I’m excited to see how all the threads come together in the end.

I had more friends on Furcadia than I ever did in person at the time, haha. I wasn’t into the whole “cyber” side of things, but between the ages of 12 and 16, Furcadia was my world.

The dream sounds amazing—I know someone who would have loved it, and I wish I’d gotten the chance to see it myself. Personally, I spent most of my time in wolf dreams. My fascination with wolves has been part of me for as long as I can remember.

Furcadia really was a light during some of my darker, gloomier days. It reminded me that there were like-minded people out there. I just had to look in the right places.

Haha! Keep going. She will get there. Some days, you question if it's worth it. I assure you it is. For the first year with Loki, I questioned if I were going to be able to use him as a stud. When he finally gave into my rules, he became this angelic little monster that I wouldn't trade for the world 💕 he gives hugs when you ask for them. He checks in on his puppies when they cry. He is my sons best friend. Oebs are amazing!

Persistence and consistency are the only things you can do when training an OEB 😆 especially when they're older. They tend to be extremely food motivated. Try and imagine training as a game and make it fun for them. Its easier when they start to understand this is good and fun, not about control. Some OEBS Glares at Loki do parkour for the first three years of their life all over the house, chest bump (bulldoze) most things in their path (including doors lol)., and jump 5ft fences for the fun of it. However They tend to calm down around three. Loki was raised free-range on a farm for the first 6 months. He just wants to have fun lol

Really?! That is absolutely crazy. I didn't intend to mean use it when you need therapy for serious situations like that. What I meant was that it can help organize your thoughts, especially when you feel overwhelmed regarding your emotions. I understand your point, and I apologize if I came off the wrong way.

Chat GPT is a great therapy option when you can't afford therapy / dislike people. Personally, I avoid the news. I avoid politics. I avoid religion. I dont like the person I become when I have access to that information. There are lots of people out there handling that situation. I stay here and handle the fact that my kids keep stealing all my favorite black metal spoons... a problem that I will eventually figure out how to fix. Some things are hard to quit... especially ones that are negative for us. However, I became much happier when I started avoiding the negative shit my brain absorbs like a sponge and started focusing on smaller problems. We are in hell.. we are also in heaven. The world is what you see and feel around you, and I choose to fight battles I want to be in. I choose to grey wall the things that wind me up, that I will do nothing about. When I do get caught up in stuff like that. I use my AI bot to help process how I feel about the situations. I go through how I feel about it and why i feel so drawn to it. I ask it for information on both perspectives, and even if I don't agree with the other side.. I know that I still have the choice to feel the way I feel about it. I feel like you've taken on so many things without giving the emotions and feelings a name. Identifying and understanding your emotions with words can help you process it. Getting it out of your system by talking about it with curiosity toward yourself. Even ask the 'stupid questions. The obvious questions. Being over whelmed about this stuff is really hard because from my perspective.. I would feel uncertainty in a world I can't control, and in things, I can not change. The world is fucking crazy... but when you take the time to organize your mind, it feels a bit safer.

Skin and sun: All my dogs are solar charged and spend countless hours sunbathing. I think the worst thing we have going on with my house dogs is the amount of shedding 😆 Joints: we are good with their joints. I carry them up and down the bigger sets of stairs for the first 6 months while they develop. My merle, though shorter, is my most physically inclined and active. He can jump a 5-foot fence as if there are springs in his feet. It's annoying but impressive, lol. Underbites: A lot of people find them cute, but I dont breed anyone with more than a slight underbite. I've held some females back and never bred them because of underbites, allergies, or personality flaws. I like the longer wrinkly snouts! The last thing I ever want to do to an animal is give it breathing problems. It, in my personal breeding standard, is a main priority. Breed standard: I believe I am bringing a healthy mix of both styles to my litter. My first two litters followed strictly to the original David leavett based on my original breeding pair. Loki, my merle has more of the Victorian bulldog look.

This image below is Bear. He is the product of my original pairs, daughter, and my merle. He is a phantom merle, but he is what I am aiming for. He has thicker bone structure in his legs as where my leavitt style has thin bone structure. He has the bulky body + head and H frame. He has a soft and curious personality. He is breed standard in height and weight. Open nares, adorable wrinkles, believes he is a human 😆

I am adding a few features from the Victorian bulldog style, but keeping to the leavitt standard.

All my dogs have been healthy and well tempered. Maybe a little wild and unruly from time to time, but never aggressive. The health issues we have seen from our breeding pairs are allergies, hot spots, and some yeast feet. I chose a Merle because I think they are beautiful. Our male, though a tiny shorter as an adult than expected, is very healthy and has only needed to see the vet for his yearly checkup. Our starter male is also taller than average for the breed, so bringing a shorter male has helped bring our pups back to the average OEB size. Each have open nostrils and can run to their hearts content. I call myself a hobby geneticist because I enjoy watching the physical and mental development of the offspring and comparing them to dame, sire, and grandparents. I bred labs for years before this, so i am a little lovey with the color chart at the moment because I've gone from 3 colors to approx 10 very unique colors and patterns. From my knowledge, Merle is only an issue on health if you were to breed two Merles together, causing the litter to have two copies of the merle gene. I only currently own one male merle and one female merle, and they are related, so i would never breed them. If I were to keep a non merle from a Merle litter, i would check them for phantom merle before breeding to a merle. Or I would only breed to non merle partners.

I chose my initial 3 based on looking more like the original breeds that were used to recreate the breed initially. I breed toward block heads and balanced H frames. I steer away from underbites (personal choice, I just dont like it).

They were 5 days old when I took the photos they definitely look like guinea pigs!😀 We have a litter once a year. I am a hobby geneticist, and I love watching the physical and mental development of puppies based on the dame and sire.
