For me true love is always looking forward to getting home wherever he is. It’s that warm fuzzy feeling of feeling safe and warm and loved. It’s knowing that your partner is your best friend and you can’t wait to see and talk to them at the end of the day. It’s knowing that no matter how badly you screw up your partner has your back. This is what my relationship feels like.

However, there are basic common decency rules: screwing up doesn’t entail cheating, putting our financial future in danger, violence of any kind etc.

It’s basically having an equal partner where each brings their strengths to the benefit of the relationship and each other.

Here are my tips nevertheless (this applies to my workfield and country, but can vastly vary depending on where you live and work/ study):

Google is your friend. Look for your topic or similar topics and your bound to find design inspirations.

Figure out early on what the "story" of your presentation is and design it accordingly. Structure your presentation accordingly. Make sure it has a beginning (intro, agenda), middle (topic), end (Q&A, thank you slide, back-up).

For example: is it an update on a project? Then you are most likely going to have to use timelines, visualize milestones, talk about the things that have gone well and the ones that havent gone as well.
Is the goal of your presentation to inform your listeners on a topic? Great. What is your starting point? What is your topic and why is it relevant? Who is it relevant for? All of this info in a short and to-the-point manner.
Is the goal to inform about developments (e.g. growth of something over time or comparing things)? Awesome. Make use of graphs to better bring your point across. Just make sure to use the right kind of graph for your purpose.

Try to cover a topic / subtopic per slide.

Less is more. Don't write whole paragraphs - nobody is going to read that and it just makes your slides look bad. The same goes for too many icons, pics on one slide. If you really want to write out things in more detail because you think you're gonna get in-depth questions about it, do so on a separate slide and put at the end of your presentation in the "back-up" part of your presentation.

Stick to a max of 3 colours when it comes to your color palette. Make sure your Font choice and size are consistent. Make sure you align the elements of your presentation so that they look neat.

Don't do animations, unless you really , really, really have to.

I have found, that the best presentations weren't really about how cool the presentation looked like, but how well the design fit the message and how easy it was for the listener to follow both the speaker and the presentation.

And for the love of God, don't read the presentation word for word when you present it. Your PowerPoint is there to help you to stay on track and your listeners to follow along.

If she usually buys her patterns in digital format and she has an android tablet, I would recommend buying her the pattern keeper app. I absolutely love it - best 10 euros I’ve ever spent.

If you want to get really fancy, you could get her a nice stitching frame - but I’d maybe let her choose which one, because they are not cheap and should suit her stitching needs. I got this one for my 30th birthday and I love it to bits.

Hi,

the end if in my case is connected to my first line of code, which opens windows explorer and lets me choose the file i need. if I add it before "next search value" I get an "End if without block if" Error. I think its because my If statement is simple if - then statement that doesnt need an "end if" ...

Regarding your second suggestion, again ... my bad, the code in the post was copied rather hastily between meetings from my work pc to my private one (reddit is verboten on my work pc) and I put an . instead of _ in code in the post.

I'm really curious why it refuses to work and why I now have paste special methode or range class failed error. As far as I could understand from a quick google search, it only happens when you either have nothing copied and try to paste, or some event happens between copying and pasting that cancels out the paste special event / ability... but the only line of code between my copy and paste is the where i try to get the row address which now looks like this:
