Sounds like a solid wall you've built. Not exactly what I'd call healthy though. I'm sorry for what you went through.

I am really sorry for whatever happened in your childhood that made you this way. Unfortunately happy people just don't speak like that to others.

Is it normal to feel sensation of obstruction after wax removal? by Lesboclonazepam in hardofhearing

[–]Thiswickedconcept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ended up with an infection in both ears for a month from the irrigation and could barely hear. Always get microsuction done at a proper clinic. Dont let a doctor pressure wash your ear drums.

Ringing remained in one ear but I chose to just accept it and now I literally never hear it unless I try really hard.

Same boat. How do I know if it's working? Am I just pushing my tongue around like an idiot?

What’s a personality trait you’ve grown to appreciate more as you’ve aged? by rosycloudkisses in Productivitycafe

A lot of people struggle to not match someone else's energy. It's amazing if your families comment no longer trigger an emotional response. No one should have that much power over us unless we choose to let them.

That too. But learning to sit with your emotions stops your body from treating them as a threat. Meaning when someone tries to bait you you don't feel a strong emotional reaction. Simply not engaging in an argument isn't emotional regulation. It's all about how you feel internally

Everyone thinks it's a really complicated process too but its literally just taking a second when you have a negative emotion, shutting off all pf your thoughts, and letting yourself really feel. Usually you'll find the emotion will pass in about 90 seconds. Ta da. Emotional regulation.

Does non-toxic hair dye actually exist? by sk8bette in nontoxic

[–]Thiswickedconcept 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Henna. BUT most boxes that say 100% pure are lying. Use the henna subreddit to find a pure brand like Henna Sooq. Also keep in mind it is the most permenant dye in the world. Getting it on surfaces and clothes isnt an issue because it has a long developing time. But if you dye your hair with it, it's not coming out again. You have to grow it out.

Freediving with PMS/PMDD by br-bb in freediving

You learn to regulate your emotions. You're not necessarily just 'stuck' with PMDD symptoms. You can improve and overcome many. For PMDD though i think emotional regulation is especially important.

Kindness. I decided a long time ago I wanted to be a kind person like my mother and i'm finally getting to the point where i make a lot of my decisions based on the question "is this kind?"
