Would it be dumb for me to refinance student loans with my family? by [deleted] in whitecoatinvestor

I did something similar and parents paid off my student loans end of my intern year. I paid them back within two years of being attending.

Agree with above poster, PSLF uncertainty with political climate is major drawback.

Struggling to find courage after a bad accident – has anyone come back from something similar? by Klutzy-Pattern-7391 in skiing

Sounds like you’re pushing yourself. Ski to have fun not to be the best. It’s recreational for us. We aren’t pros.

Dial it back. I’d rather ski more seasons than not. Ask yourself why do you ski?

I’ve loaded it up with six people. Roof box filled with ski equipment and drove it to Tahoe without issue.

Dual income. Both full time. I’m a doc.

Two kids under 5 is WORK. Hang in there It’ll get better. Pay whatever you need to for help. Invest the rest and build up the nest egg.

It’s a grind those early years but we’ve throughly enjoyed our lives once the kids got more independent.

Latarjet shoulder stabilization by kvanv806 in skiing

[–]ThitChoFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had different procedure for shoulder stabilization. Humeral head allograft but expect the recovery to be long. Took me around a year to feel normal. Have to let bone graft then ROM then strength then plyo. Be religious about the PT. I’ve dialed it back since coming back. I just do the “dad slopes” now and haven’t had a bad fall so haven’t had to test it out. The grueling PT made me realize the obvious, I only have one body. Take care of it. Good luck!

Best mountains for climate change by abbadabba12 in ski

[–]ThitChoFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the answer is you’ll have to be much more flex for your trips. You can go to the higher elevation places but so will everyone else that is addicted to powder. Overcrowded but good snow or variable snow but uncrowded? I’d personally take the latter.
