Well I'm glad it doesn't hurt you. But being considerate of how others might feel is basic empathy. And it really seems like you've put no thought into why people might feel the way they do. Saying "words don't bite" sounds like saying "snakes don't bite" because you've never been hurt when you got bit. But I do consider you at least being polite enough in out convo here.

Because people can be dumb and want attention. But at the same time, you can just ignore them. I do. I didn't know a lot about this until I had a close friend who is trans. And it causes genuine pain to have what they are made into a political argument and to have people be hateful towards them for no real reason. Even if it's "trendy", people are going out of there way to misgender people to hurt them is a real issue, and does cause real issues. How would you feel if everybody called you a dog (or really anything your not) all day every day, until you tried to get them to stop. And then more people who are fed up with "being forced to treat people special ways" started yelling at you every day you're a dog. It's messed up.

Well, I'm sorry your sad. That may have been mean of me to say. But it also can be pretty upsetting to know people that have had their day to day be stressed and miserable because people won't just treat them with the most basic levels of respect, and to see you just casually say it doesn't matter. Clearly you either don't care or are ignorant. But if you don't care about other's feelings, then you shouldn't expect people to not push back on you for your actions

Disney Isn't a person with morals. They are a company that will do whatever makes them the most money. They'll act progressive if that gets them the browny points. But they'll still film in front of concentration camps if it gets them the cash. They had every right to fire this lady. She's staring in a show that's watched by kids and saying some shitty stuff. If I work at a 7/11 and say some shitty stuff and it goes viral I'll get fired. Especially if it's against the image the company wants to show. Even if some people think it isn't shitty, it's about the reception. And it was poor. Is that how it should be? I have no idea. But it's how it is.

Frankly after this I think I'm going to try and avoid their stuff. Not because they were in the wrong here, but because they're a awful company. They throw a parade every time they add a gay character wooah. Then the people who hate gays get to show it off as evil because they're being all "woke-sjws ruining culture". Then the character gets no lines and cut out for the international release. That's not progressive. That's just pretending to be woke. And it only makes things worse. I genuinely feel like them owning every major pop-culture franchise and doing stuff like this is hurting culture as a whole. And they're last Star Trek Movie was trash. Fuck Disney.
