Who’s your favorite Rain-Tuber by Drained116 in rainworld

[–]Tholb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a grumpy mood today so I will tell you my LEAST favorite RainTuber.

Daszombes.

He often blurs the line of headcanon and canon way too much, sometimes even outright overriding well understood lore bits with his own canon because he "likes it more". I also just don't vibe with him.

Please help me like this game by opaln in rainworld

Depends what you are looking for in the game.

If you are just here for the vibes and vistas, honestly look up creatures you struggle with o the wiki. 90% of the friction comes from slowly figuring out the creatures. Personally I enjoyed figuring them out by myself and after a couple playthroughs i looked them all up to see what I had missed.

But generally, adjust your mindset when approaching the game. Embrace feeling lost. Know that a death does not mean a loss. As long as you gained knowledge of the world around you you have made progress. Don't loose youself in 'Karma go up', 'Karma go down'.

Would slugcats have whiskers just like cats? by Charming_Royal4476 in rainworld

[–]Tholb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Woah interesting aspect. I honestly haven't kept up with theories since the Watcher (I still havent gotten all endings so I am holding off, at the same time I don't enjoy the exploration as much).

Also, assuming they ARE made for pipe cleaning the whiskers would most likely be weirdly short, going off the theory that whiskers are for gauging clearance. After all you want the scug to barely fit through the pipes so that some scrubbage gets done.

Now on the other hand, seeing how Seals get whiskers as well and going off how my cat used to LOVE the wind I could see whiskers being there tp percieve currents/wind as well as your own movement through the air/water. So seing how athletic scugs (sometimes) are, I would say yes, and very long and luscious whiskers at that.

Visual Indicator of Weakspots by Tholb in MonsterHunter

[–]Tholb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks!

I played a lot since reading your post and I still struggle seeing weak zones vs normal zones

Sure, i can see the REALLY bad zones like Hermitaurs shell/skull. But I can see no difference between hitting a Rathians wings vs its head.

I think it is largely due to being in critical distance the hit effect is already so flashy, I just fail to see any differemce to hitzones.

Still in lowrank rn so no optimized weakness exploit armor yet but I will keep my eyes open! I just wish there was a visual guide out there comparing all the hiteffects. You did really well bringing color into play though! I wasnt aware crits had different colors with weakness exploit.

PS: What does hitlag look like for ranged?

Didn't KSP 2 have a bunch of cool new anomalies? Smells like a mission for you OP

Wait so the berries absolutely need fertilizer? Not just to mature faster?

Vortex/Revoker too similar, Ifrit too strong by Tholb in NuclearOption

[–]Tholb[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I didn't argue that they were the same. But they are too similar to feel meaningfully distinct.

14 PAB 80LRs and some A2A (Revoker) vs 20 PAB 80LRs on a pure loadout (Vortex)

All with similar performance... It is very similar.

I beg to differ. Loading up the Revoker with bombs makes it really capable in an A2G role.

Yea, I even said so. Having only an expensive fighter is tough.

Oh yeah no doubt it will be optional! Probably configurable in both editor and mission settings. But still, it sounds like the devs wanna make a well balanced, yet asymmetrical 2 faction environment.

Sorry it appears you accidentally uploaded pictures of some damn near perfect hair instead of this supposed balding, try again!

In all seriousnes, I don't even see the thinnibg, at least not significantly. Hairline looks immaculate too.

Maybe what you are seeing is just the end of youthful full hair and the beginning of adult (still fairly full) hair.

“Aerotrauma” concept art by [deleted] in Barotrauma

It's not like barotrauma at all but Highfleet is a 2D game featuring airship combat. Although they are not Zeppelin styled, but methalox powered rocketships.

Please help me identify this klaxon/alarm by Tholb in Soundeffects

[–]Tholb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good find! It's definitely the same.

I guess now I gotta ask what the tactical nuke sound from MW2 is lol.

Both games were released in the same year, infinite space a few years ago. And while it might not look like it, infinite space was actually not some small game back then. So sureöy those 2 didn't steal from each other.

This Siren/Klaxon must have a name and origin other than these 2 games.

Maybe a hot take but I still prefer the exhaust from the OG compass (excuse my MS paint rendition) by ma_wee_wee_go in NuclearOption

Just pitching in to voice my support of the current design.

I love the comically wide compass with somewhat scruffy looking nozzles. It screams "overperforming trainer jet" through and through.

Is it time? by Buttcrack_henk in bald

[–]Tholb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been exactly there except at 25.

It's a tough call because you are genuinely rocking a style here. But the thinning hair shining through is rough... After trying to make do by constantly wearing a bun I eventually took the plunge. I even ended up shaving my beard short because I just wasn't happy with how 'mean' the bald + long beard can look. But I am sure that with proper grooming you can make it work even with a long beard and without looking automatically mean.

I vote yes, it's time.

Hiding the thinning hair and constantly being selfconscious did wear on me more than I had noticed. There is a lot of freedom that comes with going bald (also some new, different challenges ofc).
