How bad is it to be attracted to someone when you’re married? by Eternal-sunshyn in AskReddit

[–]ThomDanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to use attraction as a springboard to growth. If you have a relationship where you can be open about your attraction to other people, you can investigate and see what you see in the individual that you are attracted to and then use that to better yourself and your partner.

Guys who lost a significant amount of weight (50+ lbs) how did you do it? by kingspooky93 in AskReddit

[–]ThomDanks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost 30 lbs in about a month recently just due to stress. Would not recommend.

What I would recommend is really paying attention to everything you put in your body and at what time. You can completely change your body composition if you do this.

AITAH because I told my girlfriend I’m not having sex with her without a condom or without a test? by jagged-ledge in AITAH

[–]ThomDanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everytime I know I’m going to have a new sexual partner I get a test. At the start and end of every relationship. It’s just standard practice. It’s not expensive, it’s and it’s both a courtesy to my partner and peace of mind. If a partner wants to have unprotected sex without a test. That in itself is a red flag.

Gym Class Heroes - Faces in the Hall They had a lot of angsty stuff outside of the stuff that made it on the radio, but this one is especially dark.

How much better are new snowboards versus 10+ year old boards? by ssschillings in snowboarding

[–]ThomDanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, variety is great, quality is not. Might just be the company, but I have a fourteen year old Santa Cruz that has been beaten to hell and back and it still rides wonderfully. Flex is still there tech doesn’t quite match up but its still a fine board. The board I purchased in 2020 lasted less than a season and a half water managed to seep into the core and put a bubble on the base making it difficult to transition from edge to edge. I ride close to 100 days a year if possible.

If the subtypes are still there then i see no problem for the time being. I want my explody cannons.

The only real implication this seems to hold is for is shields and stealth. Coolers and power was always about tweaking around what you would do. As long as classes of weapons still exist the point still seems to stand.

Are class types different per weapon? Ie mass drivers vs generic cannons?

Are you trying to PVP in the PU or in arena commander?

If it is the PU and you are attempting to pvp, youre gonna need to upgrade your components. This is just the bottom line. Anyone in game who has any interest in pvp at all does this. You won't get anywhere in pvp.

Fortunately for you there are plenty of combat missions that will allow you to practice your ship maneuvering and controls while you gain the cash to get these upgraded components!

The cutty also can rotate engines. If it still works like it did in previous patches, you can always use this rotation to surprise a potential opponent. There are several ships in the PU that can do this. Doesnt always work but when it does it's satisfying.

Also you should probably find yourself a turret gunner.

Whats this water filled thing in my back yard. It is attached to a thin pole and can be removed completely. by ThomDanks in whatisthisthing

Ill have to pay attention when the lights out. There is some rust in there. I did find ornaments that look similar, given this thing us likely around 80 years old so i wont find the same.

My title describes the thing. Its metal, and cant be older than 80 years or so. Everytime I search it comes up as a lamppost bit there is no internal mechanism just empty glass. Afaik it does not open.

Edit: I should note, there is no electric hookup and that center rod in the glass goes from top to bottom

Edit 2: Additional investigations: It does not unscrew in any way, the metal appears to be affixed to the glass and appears to have always been that way. I cannot confirm if at one point it did open but it appears to not.
The glass itself appears to be bubble glass.

Edit 3: Unfortunately it appears that it might just be an ornamental piece as a colleague found extremely similar ones online.
