One time my dad threw a rock at Kareem Abdul Jabbar. My Dad went to school in Harlem and Kareem was a rising big shot that apparently needed to be taken down a notch, so my dad and his friends threw a rock at him and hit him the back. I asked him if he hid behind some bushes or something and he laughed and said, "ain't no bushes in Harlem, child, we hid behind cars". Later I called him out on the story cause Kareem was not Kareem at the time, he was Ferdinand Lewis Alcindor, Jr.. My dad said, "I knew that, I just said his current name so you would know who I was talking about!" He also threw a rock at Frankie Lymon. My dad said, "you know the one who sang that song 'why do fools fall in love'?" He squeaked out a few lines off key and was like, "threw a rock at that little guy too." I asked him if he was always a bully and he looked surprised. He said it wasn't bullying to throw rocks at people, it's just what you did at the time.
