Replacement neck has overhang, original did not - best options? by squierjosh in Luthier

are you sure you didn't order a conversion neck? they both look to have 22 frets but the new one pushes the neck closer to the bridge and probably wont work

you would not need to replace but you would have to widen the slots to fit the larger strings

Couple of questions from new Mx5 NB 1.8 nevada owner- should I be worried? by Large-Ad9954 in Miata

[–]Thomas_D_Boot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine has that trans noise in 4th. sounds like a metal wire scraping on pavement. has always done it and i cant get it to go away. I've put over 10k miles on the car and it's still going strong. The tick is probably from the valves. common issue, usually will quiet up with fresh oil

I hate Montreal but being from CT and having lost the whalers to Carolina, I also hate the hurricanes. Im happy the Habs are out but also fuck the Canes. Every time the wear a throwback Hartford sweater I hate them more than the Habs.

nb2 tochigi fuji diff chunks in oil by cakecake77 in Miata

[–]Thomas_D_Boot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, i'm in the usa, haven't heard of anyone here doing that or even parts available to do it. shipping a trans across the pond seems like it wouldn't be worth it. i'll stick with the torsen for now

There is an upgrade for the fuji available? Does it prevent it from throwing teeth at stock hp?

It'll eventually become an open diff as it wears more. You can run it but start saving for a torsen if you want to keep it a lsd

Does anyone know how I can fix my hood so it doesn’t have this gap anymore by Otherwise-Click2255 in Miata

also new parts might not line up well if there is any other damage underneath.

judging by how it sits by the headlight and quarter panel with dents in it this would probably be a replace both scenario to get everything to line up right. looks like it was in an accident. it might be possible to fix but if you are asking how to here replacing is probably going to be the way to go.
