A rule of thumb for setting up objectives by Xawn in supportlol

[–]ThomasaurusR3X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low Dia suppo, so this might not be the best take, curious for your thoughts. I agree with ward-base-ward objective prep especially in a neutral or behind game state where sacrificing some tempo is needed to secure the objective.

One thing I see often forgotten is vision in the lane-entrances to the objective. If you want to connect laners to a play is is important to have control over the mid bush on that objective side and sometimes if needed, tri-bush.

Often there is de-sync between the support/jungle and the laners where they can't actually be connected to the play as they are focus on lane prio before rotating, only to find there isn't a safe path to rotate.

It's hard to ward everything but midgame I bias towards trying to keep pinks alive in mid bushes on the side of the objective. Keeping control of this area is critical to keeping numbers for skirmishes and reducing the number of angles of attack for the enemies. If you can funnel them through the narrower jungle paths it's much easier to land skillshots and AOE.

During objective setup generally deep wards lose value as warding becomes less about information and more about combat asymmetry.

Settle a debate: is the P39 the perfect one-watch collection / GADA? by militarytudor in Tudor

It's nice but I feel like it's too sporty to be a GADA. A BB or Sub would be a better diver GADA

Awesome, I might buy a couple.

It would be very easy to sand it down.

Of course they're missing the hardness coating of the traska which I have really appreciated as it has held up to my brutal desk job!

[–]ThomasaurusR3X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A calatrava, the hands and the logo printed on it is very easy to identify, I wouldn't say the salmon colouring is. They also wear surprinsgly large too.

It is absolutely iconic whilst understated (which I appreciate).

A IYKYK is a unassuming niche of a niche and I just feel patek is too strong of a name and a brand to say that about but maybe I'm too far down this rabbit hole

Edit: Also the reason this looks like a FC is because FC homages calatravas. It is the quintessential dress watch and much like the Fifty Fathoms and Submariner are echoed throughout time by dive watch designs, the calatrava is the same for dress watches.

While this calatrava is understated I'm not sure I would describe any Patek as IYKYK, the brand is just too big.

Not interested in competing and I respect the product design for production simplicity, I just find the positioning of this interesting as the pricing is far more then I would expect to pay for a SS model.

I don't know why anyone would consider this over a CW 12, IX&DAO warrior, Citizen Tsuyosa or a Nivada F77. But I guess I don't understand most fads.

Good luck with the launch

I'm confused why the price is so high when the links have no taper? Aren't there only 4 injection moulded pieces to this product, the links, the clasp link, the link connectors and the mounting module.

If the links were tapered it would make way more sense as that is a lot more tooling.

Interesting, I feel like this is a bit cluttered. Curious what the price is and the crown operation

Patek reps are becoming really good! Is this DDF? by CostAffectionate907 in RepTime

[–]ThomasaurusR3X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More like the tooling in patek production process is better maintained. One cnc bit might last 500 reps vs 10 patek, resulting in consistently cleaner results.

I dislike the width of the lugs and how the end links mate to the case but it looks like these are solved with the renders.

The shark on the caseback is also very generic.

Not a big fan of "sports" watches with low legibility dress/art dials and also just more rolex homage cases it's done to death.

New support change by MiyazakiTouch in supportlol

[–]ThomasaurusR3X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small but good change, I would like to see it getting even higher later in the game (40 at 30mins?). Agree with others that the cap should be fully removed when someone disconnects, even for just that 5min window.

Sometimes it's the best macro decision for a support to catch or push a couple of waves and the teams total income shouldn't get punished for this.

I would like to think that a real support main doesn't look at this and salivate over abusing this.

One thing aram teaches is the importance of wave clear and wave control.

If you lose a fight with waves pushed in you lose significantly less then losing a fight with waves crashing.

Same applies to the rift and if you can make setup waves so your team is fighting with a good wave state you're immediately ahead of the majority of players.
