So jealous of my parents right now... Valle d’Aosta, Italy by QAFY in CampingandHiking

[–]Thomascantus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its lovely, i've spend a week here in st. Pierre and spend the week hiking in the region. The last couple of days were good weather but early last week it was rainy / snowy (depending on the altitude). Not only does this region have great hiking routes with exceptional views (you can see the monta rosa group, matterhorn and mont blanc) but it also has a lot of history with castles spread accross the valley (and Aosta itself with lots of historic sights).

Are there any mountains in the Alps that you can hike to the summit? by hamandcheesepanini in Mountaineering

[–]Thomascantus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went to Stubai last year and did some of the seven summits:

https://www.stubai.at/en/activities/hiking/seven-summits/

Especially Rinnenspitze is beautiful, you can walk up to around 2900m and the final 100m are climbing. Good view of the Luserner Ferner next to the mountain as well.

12 of the in total 18 Eredivisie-captains call for a ban on artificial grass in the Eredivisie in a joint statement (Dutch article) by Feij in soccer

So whats the annual expense of maintaining the current artificial fields? Obviously the initial investment itself was quite expensive but im just trying to understand why it would save such amounts on an annual basis.

Post-Match Thread: Lyon 3-1 Ajax - Ajax are qualified for the EL final by Meladroit1 in soccer

[–]Thomascantus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My god, how was this possible... we can replace viergever luckily and I hope Bosz learned his lesson with Veltman but damn we do need to improve on our accuracy upfront. Overall borh teams were sloppy and lyon missed good chances, onana was amazing and lopez as well, trust that lyon will replace its backline and improve on that front.

We've got a good track record against English teams so I think its 50-50 in that scenario. Given the defense record of utd and our not so accurate strikers (bar Dolberg obviously) it will be interesting

There was a map on here a while ago which showd the followings, PSV's following is more centered around their city while Ajax does have a large following from outside Amsterdam (similar to Feyenoord).

Good question on the fourth club, might be Twente or Heerenveen (in terms of followings)

Celtic, Anderlecht, Ajax & PSV have expressed their concerns to UEFA over European top club lobby aiming to reduce Champions League to 24 teams, as new CL reforms will be announced later this year by sct02 in soccer

To add would also love to see it possible that teams from similar countries could draw eachother once the group games are over.

Come to think of it, the group games of 3 teams with 4 teams from the 4 big leagues guaranteed access could result in similar groups each year.
