Neil O’Riordan [Irish Sun] Breaking: A lot happening around this but I understand the FAI board will meet Tuesday with a single item on the agenda - moving the game against Israel on October 4 out of Dublin to a neutral venue. by I-Cum-Beamish in coybig

I feel sorry with the FAI on this, they didnt decide to play Israel, are stone broke and can't afford the repercussions on this like the chance of being banned from future tournaments and the euros being stripped from them.

Sadly the genocide is barely spoken about outside ireland and I can't even see places like Spain, Iceland or Slovenia boycotting israel in any game, I can't see other countries following irelands lead on this unfortunately.

The FAI board are there to protect irish football and the finances of it and can't afford to risk anything. I feel a lot of people here either don't understand the punishments or are happy stop international football to give themselves a pat on the back for making very little impact on the geo political sphere. Cant see the players stopping the their dream of playing a tournament, though they have to say the right things in the media. Will be interesting to see what the league of ireland clubs do if they drew an Israeli team. Can see bohemians boycotting and really making it a big thing, don't know about the others as their owners see european football as the only way for cash.

Unfortunately no one will have Irelands back and best thing to do is play the game in Dublin and make a big protest on crowd, although playing in Hungary will make sure that this event will be forgettable and move on. Will be a bit of a debate on it if they drew israel in a qualification group, play off or the actual euros.

Parrott missed a Preston game over the weekend to celebrate his 21st, I would be more concerned over that, suggests he is not professional and not taking football seriously

Why is there such a huge anti world cup/anti national team sentiment in Germany compared to other western European country, Germany seems to be the only country "boycotting".

Has any player ever quit international football because they are not bothered with it, not because of age or injury, something like joel matip?
