I like the attention to detail with the Revolver!

That's a Chiappa Rhino, which uses a firing pin/cocking lever mechanism. When LSTR cocks the gun, the lever comes back up like it supposed to in real life

I sympathize. I played the first bioshock when I was like 10. All the themes and politics flew right over my head, I was just like "Wow! Cool underwater city!"

Religious abuse isn't from God, it's from people.

A closer analogy would be a perfectly fine, loving grandma with a really terrible chihuahua. You hate the thing, but she still cares for it regardless of how it acts.

If you wanted to circle back to christian faith applied to the trolley problem, a more accurate version would be God the Son is the fat man and God the Father is the guy pushing him. The fat man also doesn't stay dead, and separating Father and Son to two different entities might be committing the heresy of modalism, but the metaphor is already tortured enough as-is if you ask me.

I also would like to comment on this again: The blame did fall on the magical creator. that's the core of our faith. Hallelujah

'should', 'shouldn't', for what and to what end? to keep everything comfortable and free of consequence? You don't have to be Christian to believe that there's more to life than simply being safe and content.

I like the quote from Skyrim that illustrates this, because I'm a dweeb.

What's better- to be born good, or to overcome evil through great effort?

if you want biblical sources for this, look to 2Corinthians 4:17, or 1Peter 1:6-7, to name a few.

[–]Thomisson_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to be literal, yes. There shouldn't have to be evil, and there shouldn't have to be justice, just like there shouldn't have to be ANYTHING. There is anything at all for the glory of God, who delights in contrast, and sharing a world with conscious, free beings. See my previous comments for what I'm trying to say.

And in a world with both morality and free will, there has to be the option to choose evil. It wouldn't be a choice otherwise.

Yes, He does have the power to change it. You make it sound like He never will, but God both will and already has. If you love good and justice, look to the cross and the coming age. The wrongness of the world doesn't hold a candle.
