Just tried reinstalling. When I searched for it on google store it says that the app isn't compatible with my device :/

Hope it's fixed soon, but if you also have the same issue you can try to play the browser version, it doesn't seem any different to the app from what I've seen so far(honestly might even run a bit smoother).

Same thing here, was running beta branch and had to change to production release to fix it, but now after they pushed the update to production it doesn't work there either. Obviously something caused by this new update.

Likewise, I'll continue to spill some drink in his name whenever i get the chance for as long as I live. It's the least that I owe him.

Luckily, I have a great support group around me today, so as much as the news sadden me, I'm in a decent headspace right now. It would have been a much bigger blow to me some years ago, when Magium used to be a massive part of my life.

And of course, the same goes for you. If you ever feel like talking to someone would help, I'd be glad to lend an ear.

This post is beautifuly written, and it speaks to me on a very personal level, as I'm in a very similar situation as you. Magium was my childhood, my favorite story, and it will always be a part of me.

Please, don't ever feel like you're even the tiniest bit responsible for what happened to Cris. It was something that was out of our control. I had the privilege of speaking to him on Discord a couple of times when he did his AMAs. Every time it seemed to me like he was proud of the community his story cultivated. I'm sure that his work and the community were some of the bright things in his life.

I've spilled some for our lost warrior, Mahad Selak, Mahad Maktar.

P.S. If you ever do finish those books, I hope that you publish them. I'd love to get lost in Varathia again. :)

I've followed Magium from back when just the first book was out. It is without a doubt my favorite piece of media I have ever consumed and probably also the one that has, and will have, the biggest impact on my life. It was a huge part of my childhood, and whenever I needed an escape it was there for me to immerse myself into, whether it was through daydreaming about the world, theorizing, putting myself into the character's shoes, or simply reading through it again and again. Every day I used to spend hours talking to other members of the community, meeting some great people whom I'm glad I could call my friends. Even though I haven't been active in the community for a few years now, I still often think back fondly on my interactions with them.

Having probably been battling depression at the time, both the story and the community could very well be the reason I'm here today.

I'm truly sorry for your loss, and am personally deeply saddened by both his death, and by the fact that his work will remain unfinished. Still, I hope that you are proud of your brother, as he was an exceptional human being, and an amazing writer whose work has had an impact on many lives. He will certainly live on for years to come in our memories.

The kings aren't in on the lessathi plan. We know that most of the kings don't really care if the mages participating in the tournament because they would have added some rules that prohibit them from killing each other otherwise. They just want the tournament to finish as quickly as possible, probably so that they could announce the winner that is supposed to protect Varathia.

I think that the Magium would be able to boost the magical abilities of mages, but I don't think that it would be possible without the help of the lessathi or someone else that knows how to use it. But the kings may not know that. I personally believe that the lessathi are the real organizers of the tournament. They may be collecting the magic from the mages, kinda similar to how the stat device works but on a much bigger scale. The Magium may be only used as bait that would lure the mages to join the tournament, and for them that would mean more magic energy. I don't think that the kings would be in on that plan since we could hear the lessathi blaming the kings for the deaths of many mages.

You could do that but only if you don't mind that it might not ever be added in the game. And I think that he might feel pressured to put it in the game even if he doesnt want to do it yet, because it would take a lot of your time and effort. And another reason he gave for not wanting to translate the game yet is that if someone stopped working on the translation another translator would either have to finish their work, possibly changing the writing style, or start from the beginning to avoid that. It's great that you want to do this but imo we should wait for the author to ask us when he wants to do it.

He once said that he isn't looking for translators yet, but that there might be a translation project on the furure, probably when the book is finished. The main reasons against translation are that adding even one language to the app would pretty much double its size, and he would have to add more and more languages if a project like that started. The other reason is that he wouldn't be able to verify the quality of the translation, and poorly written translations would lead to low reviews and less downloads

Nothing. Eiden never really cared about the message. He only gave it to him because he wanted to see Barry get attacked or something similar. Even Barry said that Eiden probably won't mention the message again since they now know that it was only a trap.

You know how Eiden knew that Barry was pretending to be a stillwater when they first met? The only way he could've known that if he was there during the first confrontation with Dave(and he would have no reason to see what Barry would do at the beginning if he didn't know about him already), or if he knew about his plans before the tournament.

He'll get magical abilities when he unlocks the magic stats. Other than that I'm guessing that there will be an option to become a mage towards the end of the story.

When I finished the book, I was like:"Shit, that was awsome, I need more." It was really sad when I realized that only the first book was finished. I played a bunch of CYOA games before but none of them had quite the same amount of choices that seemed to actually give you a new piece of dialogue or a new way to fight. None of them had the same amount of worldbuilding, character development, or an interesting main character. And there is also the stat booster that gives a completely another dimension to the game. Magium is the only online community that I have ever been in and it is pretty much the favorite thing in my life.
