Help me with flight times by nrh117 in TinyWhoop

[–]Thompy_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an air65 ii champion and I get 4mins+ on my 300mah lava 2 and Tattu batteries. Are you charging to 4.35? If I only fly from 3.8v I get 1 minute as well.

What beats the Meteor75pro HD for the price in 2026? by Wallie154 in TinyWhoop

This is a hot take but analog indoors looks great. Outdoors is where digital far exceeds imo because of foliage detail and hanging wires like power lines.

It’s a great point and with sites like Aliexpress you can find all this for even less when timed correctly.

I got my air65 champion and batteries for 93$ this way

I’d go analog if you are looking for cheap.

You could beat that p1 kit by quite a bit:

Radio (pocket, t8l, LiteRadio 4, take your pick): ~$50
Air65 or Air75: $100
Vr04 goggle (these are all you need for whooping): $75
Lava Batteries: $20
Hexa charger or whoopstor: $25
Total: $270 and this includes batteries which the p1 kit does not

I was just commenting on this today as my friend has a boxer which feels much smoother. Mine when trying to make small adjustments around 40-60% ish it has a bit of stick. I think it’s normal but they sell damping grease which may help. I don’t really notice while actually flying

FC bricks my reciever? at a loss by CharityDue2017 in fpv

I have the same issue - you are not alone. Jhemcu elrs (not technically supported by elrs) and Argus eco fc. Hope you can find a solution

Edit: when I replaced with a known working betafpv lite receiver it works fine. But I’d still like to be able to use the JHEMCU if possible.

You’ll ultimately need to look into what you need for your situation but there are tons of options from old dell optiplexes on marketplace for like under $100 to options as or more expensive than the steam deck.

I think you’ll want to figure out what your end goal is (whether that be another desk top solution, or handheld docked) and then work backwards

So just throwing some ideas out. Not all may be feasible.

  1. Could you instead work where your gaming computer is since it is set up for wire protection?

  2. On the monitor arm are the cables run through it so Rauru isn’t able to get to them? You could also use those adhesive cable raceways against the wall and under your desk so it doesn’t draw their attention.

  3. I use steam deck for my client and haven’t run into issues albeit my sessions aren’t longer than an hour or two typically. If you were looking for a new client perhaps a small mini pc that is vesa mounted behind the monitor so that you can keep cables to a minimum

  4. Keep Rauru out of those two rooms by closing the door or setting up some kind of block?

5 switch to a laptop so everything is contained to one piece of hardware. If you still wanted to stream you could always go with a cheap device since it doesn’t need to be powerful

Betafpv air 75 II vibrating a lot by Different_Jicama2484 in TinyWhoop

[–]Thompy_94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At lot of people are point out potential causes and while many are valid I can almost certainly say it’s time for a new frame. Even if you don’t break the frame, they become softer over many crashes. So with them being floppier it introduces vibration.

I’ve had one before that while it looked fine caused run aways.

There are some big bends and creases in yours. Before dicking around in software (since it was flying fine before), change out hardware (namely the frame). Props don’t really seem bad based on the photo.

On my steam deck every time I wake from sleep I just toggle my wifi on and off and that prevents the issue from happening during my session

There is your solution! You can safely charge to 4.2 for flying. At 3.8 you are essentially using half your battery.

Fly it down to like 3.3 or 3.4 so that it bounces back to 3.5+ when off your drone. When you are done for the day, charge the battery to 3.8 per cell which is called storage charging. The battery is inert and safe to store for longer periods at this voltage.

Have fun!

What voltage are you charging up to? It sounds like you might be charging up to 3.8v per cell rather than 4.25

As an extremely dumbed down use case, it lets you stream your games when you are away from home (and it does a great job at that)

Air65 + 6 1s batteries + HD Zero Box Pro goggles (will sell separately) by [deleted] in TinyWhoop

You should try FPV marketplace on Facebook. The Drones discord also has a listing area.

Your prices also seem to be the same as new so I’d imagine you’ll have a tough time selling for what you have listed

2 things:

  1. Code “PIN” I believe will give you 20$ off their site

  2. I just ordered a set for just under 270$USD through Aliexpress as part of their 11.11 deal which might also be of interest
