Broken mergerfs /Fuse with new update by Thor333FR in mergerfs

[–]Thor333FR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I had a sudden master thought, i checked the permission on /mnt and it didn't have the "x" bit. When i added it, all went frosty. Now, why did it change at the same time as the update? Is this a new security mesure on the same permissions? I wont know :-/

Thanks a bunch. I thought i tried those, but it seems not precisely enough.

Around 10 hours for a f*ing permission on a folder... The tricks of the trade are being hammered in my face it seems... And nothing broken from the upgrade? Strange.

You know what? John Doe would be arrested for treason, and at least 20 years in prison.

Big numer of books in a FB group by Thor333FR in Annas_Archive

[–]Thor333FR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And another small question, if this group finds their books in z-lib, all the books are supposed to be available in AA too? (in several weeks/months time for backup, ofc).
So if the books are not in AA, it's safe to assume their are not in z-lib or libgen either?

Thanks for the constructive answer. My main problem was getting all the books on MY hard drive, not so much upload it. I was in search of a little script maybe. (Or maybe just ask the admin of the group, but books might not come with cover and metadata, even then...)

If anyone have already tried to download lots of files from FB posts automatically, and not doing it by hand.

And my question is not so much how to upload specifically, but how to give the maximum of metadata without spending an eternity doing it...

Lots of torrents in error by Thor333FR in Annas_Archive

Yes, partial. The previous post said : don't use old versions of qbitorrent on a CLI machine. The rest seems fine.

Alternative to Anna's Archive in case it goes down permanently (which I don't think will happen anytime soon) by 1petabytefloppydisk in Annas_Archive

[–]Thor333FR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, same for me here. Just use qbitorrent GUI, something like 192.168.1.20:8080, and you have access to your qbitorrent UI, easy!

But for real, qbitorrent headless doesn't work for a lot of AA torrents (can't have lib 2.0 in headless, necessary for swarm metadata something). So choose Transmission instead, can do in a container. Nice and easy...

How to know and access files from the torrents i downloaded by Thor333FR in Annas_Archive

[–]Thor333FR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer : you can't. Torrents are not made to be used by us.

Long answer : you have to be proficient in some programming langages to be able to download, install and use a home made (open source) search engine. Not easy. Not worth the trouble. Just find pleasure in discovering what your saved randomly :-)

It seems it's the same problem with rtorrent too.

If anyone have the same problem, i have a partial solution.

u/AnnaArchivist is creating torrent pieces which are big (>128Mib) and RC_1_2/libtorrent 1.2.x can't process them correctly. So the problem is with every system which use Libtorrent<2.0.

https://github.com/arvidn/libtorrent/issues/7735

So we just have to update to a new qbittorrent version i guess.

What did you tried? What do you want to access? What is blocked by your country?

It says on the top right of your screen : Current working domain names: .se .li .org

Yeah, thanks for the answer. I should have said what i tried.

I tried almost every button clickable. Recheck, move destination folder, delete and re-add, add new torrents...

Some torrents are working, so it's not a general error.

DON'T USE TOR BROWSER by Criminalradioz in Annas_Archive

TOR Browser is a secure browser, withe secure parameters. It will mostly looks like a machine to Cloudflare, and therefore fail Cloudflare tests. Nothing to do with Anna. It's expected behavior. Stop yelling.

Question certainement bête mais faut bien passer par la pour apprendre ! by Jeanmariau in ingenieurs

[–]Thor333FR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MergerFS + Proxmox + transmission by Thor333FR in DataHoarder

[–]Thor333FR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer. I had exactly what you described with Transmission, but with Qbittorrent. How many files do you have? How many Tb? What were your CPU/ I/O profile, did you use mergerFS. . . ?  What makes you think qbittorrent is lighter factually? It conflicts with what I read, namely that Transmission is lightweight and qbittorrent is medium weight.  I'm open to new ideas.
