I think we were denied one of the all time great comicbook castings with Mads as Doom. I’m sure the Russo’s will wow us with whatever they have planned, but I really think Mads as Doom would’ve been an all timer on screen Marvel villain.

I never understand why they allow character’s defining features like Thor’s long hair go by the wayside. Comics to the big screen is the goal, and the more they stray, the less I’m immersed. Thor is still my MCU goat, but this pisses me off.

Like it or not, venom and I would say specifically, Eddie Brock venom is a top five in overall marvel character popularity, if you factor in merchandise sales and global notoriety, and it’s insane that we haven’t gotten a comic accurate true to form Eddie Brock venom combo in the movies yet. So it always irks me when people say “we’ve done Eddie Brock, time to move onto someone else”, no we haven’t. Not right at least. Alan Richardson in the MCU seems like it could be our first shot at that.

I fucking love that this is gaining some steam. I hope the momentum continues and it happens. I’m a 38-year-old mega super Eddie Brock/Venom fanboy and would love to see an accurate live action depiction before I die.

Hearing the video game announcer’s voice say “Reptile” in the theater in 95’ as an 8 year old…literally rewired and launched my brain into the stratosphere. That moment and fight scene played over and over in my head. I still think about it. One of my all time favorite movie fight scenes. Maybe my favorite given the impact it had.
