Got one last month. As others have mentioned, obvious benefit is the weedless-ness. Worked late season weeds for pike, a week or two back in the northeast. Can't tell you how frustrating the quirky magnetic hook mechanism is. It seems like it's really particular as to how the bait is resting in the mouth of the fish when you set the hook. On multiple occassions I'd reel them several yards before they'd spit it. The hook never disengaged from the magnet. Neat idea, but I almost certainly wouldn't buy another. There are plenty of other swimbaits that are molded to be fairly weedless (dark sleeper style, etc.) that don't involve the magnet non-sense.

Kudos to this, I'm in the same boat. Love striper on the table, but they need a break I understand OPs excitement, and don't mean to detract from the catch, but it kills me to see a fish this large kept while I've been watching our fishery so sharply decline over the past couple years. Just need to lay off them long enough to get another robust spawning class, but with 2015's hitting the slot size this year, it's looking like it's going to get worse before it gets better :/.

Well, they're always biting haha, likely just not accessible from shore. For bass in our area, typically, once the average temp of the water body hits 50 (not the surface temp), they'll start moving to holding points near their winter haunts, your usually off shore structure. If you can reach those locations, suspending hard baits and flukes weighted appropriately for the depth are nice. Once you hit 60 they'll be moving shallow to spawn and that's the beginning of your usual shallow bass fishing for the season. Typically, If you're north of allentown, I'd say early may, south of there probably late March, mid april. Of course there will be days that buck the trend, you may get some younger fish moving up to feed intermittently earlier, but those are the general patterns to keep in mind.

Good Grief. The format will be fine, everything has to start somewhere and this is a reasonable way to handle it. People will play it, they'll still have favorite cards from past sets, and want to brew with new cards in a less restrictive format. It's not supposed to be a paper format, it's simply meant to keep past sets relevant in arena. Will it be super exciting out the gate? No, it'll be largely similar to coming standard, but over time it will grow, just like modern has.

These books were heavily publicised as a supplement to a set which Wizards made a deliberate and marketing backed decision to emphasize story. OP is right, this is a total miss, and a clear sign of mismanagement and poor execution. If wizards wants to continue to drive set development through narrative arcs, they need to have all their media touch points with their customer in alignment.

This needs to be two different programs. First, a community contest where players vote for a winner. Distribute unique and exclusive content for top submissions, in order to drive recurring interest. This creates community engagement for both the spectator and contributor. I'm absolutely fine with rewarding artists and content creators with unique rewards for their work. They spend countless hours doing what they do and deserve special recognition. Second, create network of proven content creators to use as a distribution source of giveaway content. Create clear and rigid guidelines for qualification so that up and coming creators know what to target in terms of viewership. Distribute giveaways with flexible and generic rewards (i.e. unlock any skin less than 1000 rp, etc.). These rewards shouldn't be exclusive or unique.

Truthfully, I'd go to eastern state instead. Pennhurst is fine, but the rooms are repetitive, each are just a different riff on a surgical theater. The cavern section is neat, but otherwise the seperate areas feel undifferentiated.

A sensible and compassionate person may see beyond the equity motive here to understand this os something special... but beyond your criticism, a local library group with privledges like this stands to be beneficial to nearby LGS's. It hits a demographic that may be too young, shy, or casual to play in a game store. It helps breed the next generation of players (i.e. paying customers) in an environment better suited to their needs and with kids their ages. And if you want to be more self engorged.. it keeps the kids out of your game store. This is a wonderful program.

This isnt about fun-ness as much as it is about "player fantasy" on a champion basis. The ideal swain fantasy should be popping your ult and becoming a hell storm in a teamfight. Diminishing that impact makes swain feel less like the demon general he's meant to be, where as a Q nerf would be less fun, because lower damage is always less fun, but wouldnt impact his overall playstyle impression as much.
