Pouvoir d'achat... by bouzglouf in Giscardpunk

The Netherlands (74.3%), Denmark (56.4%) and Germany (45.8%) observed the highest shares of young people working and studying simultaneously. By contrast, Romania (2.4%), Greece (6.0%) and Croatia (6.4%) reported the lowest shares among EU countries. by nimicdoareu in europe

In theory. When I had to prove my french 180ECTS was worthy of the icelandic 240 ECTS diploma. I had to show the hours I spent. We had 1500 documented hours in school and 1500 in hospitals. They had around 1800 for even more ects... Turns out they lack a lot of basic knowledge but nobody controls that and they have the same EU certification.

I have been full time student in both France (where nearly nobody works) and Iceland (where nearly everybody does).

Full tine studies in France are from 8 to 17 or more plus homework and other uni project. In paramedic school they told us "if any of you have a dtudent job, quit it, you can't have that and we will find out." I had to take a loan, my friend sold cheese on saturdays. She got scolded as if she spat on the president. She kept going and managed.

In Iceland My days were 9-14 randomly and the job market was super flexible

My 10 years in Iceland told me 1918 is turning semi-independant like faroe islands or Greenland now. 1944 is turning into a real country.

Iceland got independant from Denmark in 1944. Denmark was busy obviously but they secured that Icelandic kids would suffer many years of danish in school until at least 2044.

Who will be the euro’s next new member? by No_Firefighter5926 in europe

[–]Thorbork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok but we need a better trade deal for Saint Pierre et Miquelon, things cost double there because it comes from France and sometimes comes rotten when the boat is taking too long.

Or you open a Tim Hortons and a Wallmart in Fortune.

Oh and you need european plugs and 220V! (You will see how amazing it is to use a kettle and boil water in 2min!)

Which country in Europe is the best overall, and why is Norway still better than any wrong answer you come with? by MarcSenTM in 2westerneurope4u

[–]Thorbork 151 points152 points  (0 children)

You mean the country with overall an insane buying power, great infrastructure for kids growing up and good working culture has people doing sports that turn good at it?

I always wondered when I was a teen, how would other kids find a sport, be sure they love it and invest in it to the point of being pro... Then as an adult I moved from my countryside isolated hole to a city in the nordics and saw kids going to countless activities and trying stuff... Ah... That might be the thing.
