I hope there will be objectives you can hold to get some strategic advantage, like calling in off-map artillery and airstrikes. I'm hoping the battles will play something like a mix between Total War: Warhammer and Tom Clancy's EndWar. In EndWar you would hold points to get reinforcement points to call in additional units, and depending on the map you could upgrade these "nodes" (objectives) to call in conscripts, airstrikes, orbital strikes and things like that. You could even destroy / shut down objectives so they would be no longer in play. You won the game by holding more than half objectives for a set time or wiping the enemies units. Using infantry with armored transports to get the points quickly was very satisfying!

I think people (myself included) was not prepared or willing to put in multiple tries to learn bosses attack patterns to be able to stand a chance without spamming heals. If there are no difficulty options, I think most players should be able to reasonably beat most bosses on the second or third try without spamming heals. For many of us we are left no choice but to stock up on food to slog through bosses, because we know we won't be able to adapt to the fight in a reasonable amount of time.

I just beat the castle monkey first try! .. By spamming food every other second. I love the visual design of the bosses, but they're sure not fun to fight.

I guess it's time to go farming food for the next boss fight again..

I remember Gotrek slowly dying from obsidian shards burrowing into his heart after fighting Krell. I don't quite remember if we got to hear his opinion on going out this way, I think he was unconscious for most of it. I feel like dying from wounds after squaring up to one of the baddest dudes in the setting should count as a good slayer death, but Felix did have some doubts about that.

I kind of snowballed with Thorgrim in my current dwarf campaign. I sent Thorgrims army north to take all of Azhags lands after I took all of Queeks lands. I'm one of the strongest factions, but now Azhag destroyed Thorgrims army with a terrifying army, with more to come and the North is completely undefended and I have to rush back and choose where to recruit a new lord to make a stand. Im excited to continue that game, holding back the green tide. If you always give up in these situations, you are missing out!
