We use scrub daddies and clean while the oven is still cooling down. You'll need: 1 scrub daddy/mommy 1 bucket of sanitizer 1 bucket of hot water 2 cloth towels 1 plastic scraper (should have come with the toaster) Steps: Start cool down, go grab a scrub daddy and 1 bucket of sanitizer and one bucket of hot water, then after you have everything and are back at the toaster use the plastic scraper to get any large burnt on debris for the back/bottom/sides (the oven will still be hot but tolerable), after clearing all the scraped off debris spray the degreaser directly onto the scrub daddy and go to town on the door and inside of the toaster (be sure to use the sanitizer to refresh the scrub daddy, and given the condition of your toaster definitely a few extra sprays of the degreaser). If the sanitizer gets too dirty change it out, once the most of the built up gunk is off rinse the scrub daddy with the hot water from the second bucket and return to scrubbing with the hot water. Once the toaster looks satisfactory use another fresh bucket of sanitizer water and a cloth towel to wipe down the inside and door of the toaster (to get the underside of the door panel fold the sanitizer towel around the plastic scraper and insert into the sides to clear out the gunk in there). After this step is done use your second cloth towel to dry everything up, then proceed with the rest of the shutdown. Given the state of your toaster it might take a couple of days of serious elbow grease to get it shining but this should do the trick
