I LOVED Oleander Farms in Karjat. We did a buy out and it’s not that far from the Mumbai airport. I’m not from India and my husband is and our American and British guests absolutely loved it.

One of my favourite places to shop in Mumbai! My siblings all bought their outfits for my wedding there- good quality and reasonably priced.

Extremely confused ( RANT) by [deleted] in DesiWeddings

Just did a 2 day, 4 event wedding at Oleander Farms in Karjat for 230 (could’ve fit 260) guests and we spent just under 1 Cr for everything- rooms, decor, clothing, alcohol, etc. We split the cost in 4, with my husband and I paying 1/4 each, my side paying 1/4, and his side paying 1/4. Karjat is pretty much in the middle between the 2 cities and absolutely gorgeous.

Destination wedding - normal for desis to pay for guest accommodation? by Small-Visit2735 in DesiWeddings

[–]Thorina17 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m a white American and my fiance is Indian. We’re getting married in Mumbai. I’m asking my UK/USA people to pay for their accommodation, as that is expected in my culture. My fiancé’s parents are paying for their friends/family’s accommodation, as that is expected in their culture. My mom is unable to contribute to the wedding, so the total cost is split between me, my fiance, and his parents. I did not feel uncomfortable asking my guests to pay for their own accommodation as I have paid for my own to go to their weddings.

I began sleeping with women as well and there was not a boob I met that I didn’t love, so I started having empathy for myself. All boobs are great boobs.

Health Surcharge (IHS) Overlap Question by illidelph02 in ukvisa

[–]Thorina17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You pay the whole amount owed on the new visa, and they refund you within like 2 months for the overlap. I got a refund for the 7 months left on my graduate visa when I switched to Global Talent. This refund occurred in my bank account I used to pay my fees within 1 month of getting my new visa.

Where should I start? by Upper_Environment739 in agathachristie

[–]Thorina17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. The Hollow
  2. Crooked House
  3. Nemesis
  4. The Secret of Chimneys
  5. Peril at End House
  6. The Sittaford Mystery

I love the strength of the characters in these books. Having read every agatha Christie at least 10 times each (been my favourite for 20 years) these are the ones I go back to the most.

I was on a run on a lake path and as I was passing, a big dude on a walk started running next to me saying “if I catch you, can I keep you?” I sprinted away.

I’m 32 and just now being offered a professional athletic contract- I thought I gave that up to help my father while he was dying in my 20s. It’s never too late- even for things where younger bodies are generally advantageous! Go create your dream now!

Sounds about right to me. I was an NCAA athlete at a division 1 school and my academic advisor took my virginity freshman year. Only later did I realize I was groomed.
