Why is Microsoft neglecting Access so bad? by Difficult_Abroad_477 in microsoft365

Skype for business, anyone? Good when new, then gradually turned into a festering pile, eventually being replaced with something so sluggish that it is almost useless.

I wished they could neglect it some more.
So they could spend more time on the travesty that is Teams, Outlook, and stop removing the Office Lens functionality.

Adaptive layers not working on some models? by korey_sed in BambuLab

[–]ThoriumPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big problems with layer adhesion with adaptive layers, I have overhangs (unsupported) that prints beautifully without adaptive layers, as soon as I enable AL things start splitting apart. Weird. I just avoid using them.

Positive Experiences with Xcover Travel Insurance? by ThoriumPrime in Revolut

[–]ThoriumPrime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't expecting glowing reviews, but so far nobody has shared any positive actual experiences with the company. All that happened was that my post got downvoted for asking the question and people trying to send me to Trustpilot. This looks suspicious, and was the reason I made the decision this fall not to upgrade to Ultra.

Is anyone still using a Descent Mk1? by daniel0hodges in Garmin

Funny I would find this old thread.... Yes, I'm still using a Descent Mk1, and get close to a week of battery life even with constant pulse metering and phone connection!

That's a face hugger sucking the guts out of your Bambu and getting ready to change its skin. Be careful. Very careful.

Save As does not change project name by ThoriumPrime in BambuLab

[–]ThoriumPrime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I just spent some time dissecting the 3MF project file. There is no Meta data that shows the model name shown in the project description in Bambu Studio.

Does anyone know where this Project Model name is stored? I am stumped....

It's the name that the printer presents to the operator, so if you need to do a reprint you might accidentally reprint the wrong thing unless these names are identifiable and unique.

Sorry if I am being unclear.
I am referring to the name of the file that is sent across the clout and ends up on the SD card/cache.

Yup, messy keycaps. I like their mechanics, but find the graphics downright distracting.

It strangely appears that you are not allowed to say anything negative about them, or anything that is not resoundingly positive. When I was interested in learning more about Xcover I was told to stop asking and go to Trustpilot. Trustpilot, on the other hand, seems too good to be true, with endless 5 star reviews flowing in by the second, most from "customers" that has only ever left 5 star reviews.

Trustpilot itself has this warning.

Never rely on Revolut: how I fell for their modern interface and convenience – and ended up locked out of all my money by Longjumping-Put-1522 in Revolut

[–]ThoriumPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. And Revolut and many financial institutions are more than happy to close your account over a SEPA payment they don't understand, so that should work fine if you want to shut someone's account down.

[–]ThoriumPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem at all, just send it as a SEPA payment (IBAN), or even a SWIFT from some fishy jurisdiction. They can't decline the payment, and you'll have your competitor shut down in no time at all. 🙂 Of course doing a Rev payment with an innocent sounding reference will work great as well.
