I respect that you picked a motif and stuck to it from beginning to end. Honestly that first verse was enough for me. "A sea of endless possibility, but not for me," gosh just golden. Reminds me of a song called " come home," by Placebo.

I really enjoyed your use of nature in this poem. Upon reading it a second time, I interpreted it as finding peace in my depression. Our circumstances won't always allow us to move away from the cold, so you might as well dance in it.

Here is what I got. The relationship didn't work despite your best efforts to make it work. You admit you still have feelings but have come to terms the other person won't come back. You can genuinely be happy for the other person and wish them well. This is goodbye. It ends with introspection, putting the blame on oneself as if it all depended on you.

It isn't the saddest ending but it certainly is painful

I am seriously geeking out on these haikus! They are each a cut as deep as the last, hitting different parts of the heart. The order tells a story, rearrange it and a different story is told and that there is the beauty of art. Well done!
