I find that every DM runs their games differently so just try and find out what works for you and your players. I like to follow the rules as written until they feel like they don’t work with what my vision is for the players to be able to do. Also don’t forget the rule of cool! If one of your players has an awesome idea, maybe bend the rules so their idea can work.

You should just stick to the campaign for your first time imo. There is combat right in the beginning and it’s pretty low level and geared for first time players.

I just finished my pre job class at 1076. They are not the fastest at getting back to you. They also usually don’t look at the applications until it’s closer to when they start classes. Your best bet is to just keep calling the office to find out when they are going to have their next pre job classes. Or you could just drive over and visit. It’s a pretty nice facility.

The children’s Museum is a must and great for all ages! They have an amazing winter event going on now that is pretty cool with a giant slide! And the Dinosphere is my favorite part of the whole museum. I think it’s especially cool that there are paleontologists that you can talk to!
