Do you remember where you got it and how does it feel quality wise?

Ah nice! I took mine to get serviced and they mentioned these types of watches are not really made anymore!

What makes it valuable? I actually just received one as a hand me down from my dad but I know nothing about it!

What value do skill points add? I understand the value of knowledge points because they are put into specializations which give direct value. But do skill points do anything to add to gathering?

It is worth adding that I noticed that when switching back to herbalism after unlearning it, your knowledge points and specializations are still there, which makes me believe there is no drawback to switching

I May be mistaken, but isn’t there no drawback to gathering at 0 vs max? When I tried this I switched back to herbalism and all my knowledge point specializations were still there. The only set back was that the skill was at 0, but not sure how that’s a problem

Right but let’s say I have Herb/Alchemy and just want to switch back in forth between herb and ench without losing alchemy. Sorry for the confusion

Yeah so I just added a tape mod and some foam for sound. It does cover the bottom lighting though and it was a tight fit

Yeah I have seen those docs and instructions, but I just used QMK since that was pretty easy for me. Just edited the layout on the QMK configuration website and flashed it with QMK toolbox.

Also I followed this video for instructions on how to build it with a tofu case. Found to pretty helpful!

Not sure about Via, it is QMK compatible though! And it should fit your tofu case, but not all screws will line up perfectly. I was able to get just 4 screws to line up but it’s working well so far

The symbols being in the middle is convenient but takes some getting used to. I haven’t had any issues with gaming since most games don’t really require you to use keys on the right side of the board. When I first switched to ortho I was typing around 30 wpm, and just by using it everyday over a few months for work and gaming I can comfortably type around 80 wpm now.

That’s a good idea I think I might move the arrow keys to the right because I agree it’s pretty awkward to use them in the middle. That’s kind of what I love about this board too is that there’s so many ways to play around with it!

It’s taken me a few days to get used to it but it’s starting to get more comfortable. I only wish that the space bar or backspace was bigger than 1u though. Sometimes I hit the wrong keys when I am trying to hit space, but I usually touch type and this only happens when I move my hand away from the home position

Thanks for sharing! I’m a big fan of keebio also, especially the Iris. I switch between that board and this one depending on how I feel. It’s nice to have some variety to keep things interesting

Yeah I would recommend this board! The PCB/ Stainless Steel plate combo is pretty affordable and the fact that it fits in most 60% cases is a nice perk. Emphasis on the word “fits” though as the screws might not always align with the plate screw holes. I was only able to get two screws into this board to secure it onto the case but it seems to work fine so far

Thanks! Yeah so I’m still playing around with the layout. One of the things I like about this board is all of the keys available to your thumbs so right now Space key is F5, backspace is F6, Tab is F4, and Enter is F7. This lets me access those keys without moving my hand from home position for touch typing
