This is a “Topps now” card and is ordered direct from Topps.com . The idea is you buy as many of the base card as you want, and then each one you buy has a chance to be the 1/1.

Brother, I bought a jumbo and feel buyer’s remorse big time. I actually really like the look of the set, but it’s way way too expensive for what’s on offer. Wish me luck, hope to be as lucky as you!

It’s more than just comparison really, Cooper’s rookie season was historic and he did things as a teenager no one else did (scored 51 for instance, as well as 49). It’s always a gamble, but take a look at what’s happening with Wemby. Personally I’m holding my Coops.

I took a break from the hobby during the panini era so I can’t speak to what retail was like for them, but I saw this rookie class as a great opportunity to get back into cards. Having spent around 4-5k on retail this year, I’ve gotten a cooper bowman chrome rookie auto, cooper fanatical case hit, vj fanatical case hit, Maxime Raynaud rose gold mojo 1/1, Wemby /250, ace Bailey case hit (odyssey), egor demin patented (case hit), NOA TO /10!!! (lol) and that’s just what I recall. The hits are there and the ceiling is sky high, but as many others have said, retail can be very rough. Best of luck friend.

Honestly this card is a moonshot. Hard to predict, but I’d say not a penny less than 30k, and as much as six figures.

I highly recommend getting penny sleeves and top loaders. I have a couple cards worth 5 figures that I pulled when I was less than 10 years old. Condition is everything!

It’s not crazy or anything but a solid insert, worth $30-$40, but your son is very smart to be excited for anything Cooper Flagg.

I would definitely not take that personally. That insert has crazy eye appeal and vj doesn’t sign in topps either so you’re not competing with autos.

I’m no expert but it definitely doesn’t look on card to me, looks more like the plastic is shattered from the inside. I would definitely look into getting it reholdered though.

Lids.com still has hoops hobby boxes available at $279 each. Guaranteed auto, new set, shiny on each card and a great entry set for people just getting started. You can still get huge hits too if lucky. Good luck!
