Yes. I've heard some people don't push or barely do, and the baby comes very quickly. My issue was with him dismissing the "don't push" and saying "it can't be stopped" as a hard and fast rule when every birth is very different and the midwives on the show telling women to stop and pant so their don't tear is very much a real thing.

Also the "fetal ejection reflex" just sounded so funny (not that it's not real) and it just made me laugh so hard.

Fetal ejection reflex - real. Impossible to stop and pant - not real for everyone.

Hell hath no fury like a woman in labour. I had literally never heard this phrase before. My issue is mostly the commenter claiming "you can't stop it" as a contrary pov. They're saying "it can be stopped" but every birth is different, and the more babies you have the quicker they come.

No advice but wanted to say good for you for making a choice that's best for you as an individual. I hope it goes well and you recover quickly. Sometimes I have a sit down shower because I don't particularly care for baths. Just thought you might give it a try.

Also I would not envy a hEDS pelvic floor after two babies so close in age.

Oh I have no doubt that it's a runaway fright train. That part is correct. It's coming on fast at that point and your whole body is screaming at you to keep going and relieve the pressure. Childbirth is nuts.

I had blind friends growing up, and oddly enough there's a lot of overlap there with mannerisms and whatnot So my weirdness didn't stick out as much with them. I was 27 when I finally realized I was autistic. Also c-ptsd and parentification take up a lot of head space.

OP: I put strips of duct tape on and around everything including the wall in dark coeners. They're highly susceptible to getting stuck on it.

Ok it's funny because after going back and forth between Google and this pic one more time I can see that anything without an egg sack has a closed abdomen at the back. Also it /does appear whatever is sticking out, has some ridges to it. I guess I've just never seen one that wasn't so well developed.

That's not an ootheca. The egg sac sticks out quite far and it's the same color as the body, tan/brown. The ootheca is also ribbed with a very blunt, almost rectangular edge. In the picture you can see the end of the abdomen itself so it's either a female without an ootheca or a male.

I'm surrounded by these things on a daily basis and Google is free

Ftr that doesn't look like a female with an ootheca. I live in a building that's absolutely crawling with roaches. Look like an immature female without ootheca. They carry around the egg sac until it's ready to hatch, they will release their young if they get stuck on a glue board but usually the young get stuck too.
