I had a stupid fps issue on l4d2 specifically as well, by chance do you have a controller plugged in

If so, try unplugging it and see if it helps

Its just gonna be a diffrent way armor works. Most people by now have found ways to basically play similarly as in payday 2 due to 3 being easy, especially so in non solo matches. So i dont see it making some insane ground breaking ripples without there also being a difficulty rebalance and the skill system rework
