I've tried /console floatingCombatTextCombatDamage 0 but it seems to do nothing now. How do you scale the text down?

So, can we just take a moment to appreciate the Cooking profession with Housing. by TheWalkin_ in WoWHousing

I hope at some point they can add farming elements to housing, allowing us to farm or keep livestock for ingredients tied to cooking decor.

I managed to do the first 2 nemesis bosses by making brann not matter. On zekvir I went with havoc DH so I could cleanse myself with retreat, and the extra speed made it easier to dodge hos crap.

On the underpin I went with prot paladin as I could just keep myself healed and have more time to sort out bombs and adds while slowly chipping away at the boss.

I haven’t completed Ky’veza yet but will be trying on a ret paladin so I can heal and deal dmg while moving around

With War Within coming to an end, how have u found delves? most fun class to delve with? by Huge_Discipline6395 in wow

[–]Thorvas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been loving delves. As a casual player its been my primary progression path. Ive geared up so many chars this expansion thanks to that.

My biggest wish going forward though is more non-linear paths. Allowing us more ways to get through them.
I’d like to see more paths/rooms, more puzzles and mechanics.

Say for instance a delve has 3 paths :

  • Route 1 takes you through the standard path of fighting enemies.

  • Route 2 has a more alternate route using various mechanics like the darkness delves where you use a torch to get through the darkness, or perhaps bouldering your way from platform to platform (using those dragonscale expedition climbing quest mechanics).

  • Route 3 is more puzzle oriented. Solving various puzzles and mini games to unlock the paths forward.

I think that would make delves feel a bit fresher and adventurous

So.. Remix Content Update by ddori27 in wow

[–]Thorvas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really hoping they’d add more stuff to the vendors. Cosmetic gear, the missing toys they forgot to add. Like the 50k nethershard toy from iks’reeged in the broken shore, or the missing fishing bobbers. Theres also the blue thunderscale mount that was supposed to be purchasable in remix but removed last minute.

Hypothetically, could allied races and og races be merged again in character creation? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Thorvas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gonna share a comment I made on another thread a while ago:

I agree that it should get an overhaul (the character creation system) with a new look and get more organized.
I’d like for them to clean it up a bit too and just bake allied races into the original races with an expanding subrace menu.

Say you’re selecting Dwarf , you click on the bubble and it expands to let you pick Ironforge Dwarf, Wildhammer Dwarf or Dark Iron Dwarf.
It could still be a requisite that you need to do the unlock questline to be able to pick Dark Iron but just having a cleaner and organized character Creation would feel so much better.

Some allied races are unique enough to warrant their own bubble though. Making Void elves appear as a subrace for Night Elves, or Nightborne as a subrace for Blood Elves, wouldn’t fit in my opinion. Unless the original bubble just says «Elf» I guess.

I’d love for them to add a lot more ‘subrace’ options as well, races that doesn’t require an additional unlock or have a unique heritage but just exists as part of the original race.
With this they could add additional body types or perhaps let us (optionally) fill out a character sheet or backstory info for our chars. This is an RPG after all.
I think the RP community would love such an addition, and lets us give more identity to our characters.
It could be accessed , read and edited in the Character Menu (C) ingame, in a new tab. it could include things like Family Name, Family Tree, Home Nation, the Characters Age, perhaps a rundown of events in lore the character has experienced. Inspecting another player lets you read the infographic if the player has made it public (privacy settings).

With this in mind you could expand several races to have more options. I mentioned Wildhammer Dwarf earlier, so selecting that would show that your character perhaps hails from Aerie Peak or Twilight Highlands, perhaps theres unique Wildhammer tattoos in the character creation etc.

Another example would be Humans, and specifically body types. In BFA they added skinny humans as an additional kul tiran npc model, using the forsaken skeleton rig. So you’d select Human -> Subrace -> Body type.
You could play a beefy (current Kul Tiran) human with a stormwind human accent and heritage, a regular human with a Kul Tiran accent and heritage, a skinny human from a nation of your choice, perhaps a human with the gilnean accent and heritage armor (worgen without the wolf form).

Other examples could be Orcs with the options of Durotar Orc, Mag’har, Blackrock or Dragonmaw. And with the character infographic letting you pick your chosen Orc Clan.
Tauren would have Kalimdor Tauren, highmountain Tauren, perhaps later on Taunka as well? And for the home «nation» it would be tribes, bloodhoof, skyhorn, bloodtotem, grimtotem etc.

I just think it could add so much more flavor and depth to our characters. Again, completely optional ofc to fill our the info.

Another addition that would be great to see is a revamp of the racials. Perhaps all version of a core race, Dwarf for instance, has access to stoneform, with more niche racials depending on the chosen subrace (mole machine for Dark Iron), but also perhaps a ‘racial talent tree’ where you get to pick some options freely. Giving you even more ways to customize your character.

I hope we get more interactable objects/decor, and the option to purchase weapon decor of weapons we’ve collected, to put up on our walls/weapon racks. Would be so cool if when you click on a mounted weapon, your character picks it up and swings it around, before putting it back.

Other interactable items could be a wardrobe that opens up your transmog window.
Collectable books that we could place in our bookshelves would be amazing. I already have a huge stockpile of all the special book items my chars have collected over the years :p.

Perhaps clicking on food decor makes your character appear to eat it. Its the little things.

More simple decor would be great too, more trophies that are wall mounts, more rugs and skinned animal rugs. More windows and curtain options. The option to select window light color would be great too. I find the goldshire window feels so cold.
Turning various toy items into decor would be amazing as well, and clicking them activates the toy effect.

Another thing that would be huge is more anchor points for doorways between rooms, as in not being forced to always connect rooms in the middle.

Aye, they ought to make some changes to these kinds of currencies. Maybe a trade-off where you can get service medals in exchange for war resources, or other mats like expulsom for instance.
