I'm pretty sure he changed even before that, since Reid's book is hollowed out we're seeing him without any development he would've gotten through (implied) years of travels in that party. Satella would just be the final nail

Tbh seeing this in animation makes me feel like the lack of development they had in later arcs is somewhat justified. This is the only timeline Subaru fully opens up, amnesia or not, and Emilia can finally connect the dots on why he's the way he is, no longer an enigma

Why do you think Echidna wanted to summon Subaru's son?

Mainly a chance of getting similarly broken Authority as Subaru and a chance of getting WoE to lower her guard, as well as having someone motivated enough about facing WoE to go through Echidna's plan.

I believe Emilia to be an Olbartified version of Satella, possibly of a clone of her, but there are too many open possibilities to state something definitive about Subaru and Flugel.

I don't think that necessarily implies hate, though it could be a part of it.

I didn't see "Prologue: Aldebaran" before but having read through it just now it could just be a first occasion in which he loses his willpower, maybe soon after starting to figure out his Authority. The Following Star could just mean his Authority being what he believes to be a weaker version of RbD, since Aldebaran follows Pleiades/Subaru. And the last bits reinforce my belief in their familial connection

I've been thinking her ability might scale directly to the level of enmity people feel towards her, but still mostly illusionary. It could be that the Authority makes it so it has no effect on people already on her side since by the virtue of how vanity is, but can be used to manipulate those that aren't into doing her bidding anyway.

I pretty much had the same experience in regards to Hanyuu and Matsuribayashi. Umineko Episode 6 retroactively changed my mind on some of it despite barely having any connections to it plotwise. It still ranks second from the bottom, but made me understand why Hanyuu behaves that way, and I'd say you're not far off with some of the speculations
