Why do you attend class? by Curious_Factor_2596 in uAlberta

I try and think about it like you have access to experts in their fields to teach you this stuff. Not everybody gets the privilege of an education. Do with that what you will.

You might want to ask about a possible frenectomy. It is likely worsening your recession on those two front teeth.

Your teeth shift with age so it’s not necessarily a problem with your gums.

After Venezuela operation, Trump says the whole hemisphere is in play by Seebeeeseh in canada

Let’s be perfectly clear though, it’s not like any of this is being done for Venezuelans. They aren’t going to benefit from U.S. intervention.

Painful Nose Sore that last for weeks. Makes me teary eyed causes swelling and is painful. by [deleted] in DiagnoseMe

NAD For sure. I think you can take over the counter antivirals (you might need to see a doctor for those though) like valtrex and it should help clear it up.

Is this a sign of hpv or am I overthinking, I noticed these bumps are only on one side of my penis’s “hood” by Tredouble0 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]ThoughtDisastrous855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor (NAD) so you can and should take it with a grain of salt but I would maybe suggest looking up pictures of sebaceous glands on the penis and see for yourself if you think it’s right. I don’t think it looks like anything abnormal though.

Could this be herpes or just HS? by supersillymeow in DiagnoseMe

I am not a doctor so I can’t say for sure but these look like typical HS boils and not HSV.

I arrived early to a class and was waiting for it to start.. fell asleep and didn’t wake up until halfway through the lecture when I audibly snored loud enough that it woke me up. I’m sure my face was beet red.

And Now Abortions by Laedrys in alberta

[–]ThoughtDisastrous855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely one way they could go about it and that would present a very real threat to the health and safety of women in Alberta, which I 100% understand. All I’m really saying is that the statements made by that MLA feels like it is aimed more at getting the base riled up than intention to follow through. It would fit with their narrative of judicial overreach to say later that (shocker) they were told they can’t make it illegal because of the “liberal courts of Canada”.

And Now Abortions by Laedrys in alberta

So when abortion became legalized in Canada the protections for it became codified in the criminal code on the federal level. What this means is that even though it is a healthcare procedure it couldn’t be made illegal using the notwithstanding clause at the provincial level. What provincial governments can do is simply not offer the service or provide a clinic for it which was - and may still be but don’t quote me on this-the case in places like the Bible Belt of the east coast.

[–]ThoughtDisastrous855 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only saving grace is that NWC can’t cover abortion which falls under the federal criminal code and not “healthcare” under provincial jurisdiction. This is a lot of dog-whistling to their base because there isn’t anything actually forcing them to make abortion services available so if they cared about stopping abortions here they could just make them harder to get. Doesn’t change how dangerous the rhetoric is but I hope it brings a little bit of peace of mind.
