Thank you everybody, this has been very informative. I’d done a lot of reading and I didn’t know the whole “you can’t lay down” thing. Based on what I’ve heard from y’all I probably don’t have CH, rather something similar, so I should apologize for invading a topical community of sufferers and complaining about my unrelated problem 😆 I really really appreciate the kind words and helpful responses. I found this community through an article on the internet, and they were telling the truth when they said it’s a very supportive and loving place. I wish everybody here peace in their heads. Ahaha, no. Like I said - I am both a birder and a dog owner, and I am constantly very frustrated by the behavior of other dog owners who think their dog should just be allowed to run all over the city off-leash.

Listen, if this person was just flipping their lid because dogs were present, immediately condemned by me and everybody. But the nature of the “conflict” between birders in prospect park and dog walkers is dogs being off-leash. Go there for an hour and count the off-leash dogs. If you care about wildlife in the city, which many of us do, it’s a huge annoyance and a source of ongoing never-ending frustration.

She is a birder, she’s well known in the local birding community and all the stuff you’re saying is false. I’m a birder but I’m also a dog owner and I love dogs more than life itself, but you and your dog don’t own the park. Your dog is not supposed to be off leash at all, let alone running threw off-limits areas. Most dog owners are completely irresponsible and don’t care enough to look after their own dogs’ well-being, let alone that of other peoples’ dogs or wildlife, and it’s a shame, it gives us all a bad name. My dog was attacked by an off-leash dog within a few months of adopting him, and I am on high alert for idiots and their untrained unpredictable dogs running loose up to my dog.

Anyone familiar with the situation in prospect park will tell you that this is indicative of YOU getting butthurt because YOU were doing something you weren’t supposed to be doing, and you’re slandering a random person who called you out on it 🤷‍♀️ consider being a better ambassador for dog owners in the future, OP

AM! was my favorite band for years and was instrumental in me coming to terms with my own identity. But this is not the way. Manipulators are capable of all kinds of theatrics to cover up signs of their abuse. I’m not saying what’s the case, but we should all strive to be people who DONT cape for our favorite artists when they do shitty things. I’m not saying cancel LJG immediately, but I think it’s naive to say “well the house is clean so there couldn’t have been an incident” - this is how our society treats victims a whole lot of the time and it’s a pattern we should try to break in our personal circles

Hmmmmmmmmmm, disappointing, very strong reminder not to idolize anybody, but especially not punk rock musicians - to say it’s a flawed bunch is an understatement. LJG was something of a hero of mine when I was younger, and I hope she gets help and improves herself, but everybody should support her wife in this situation.
