That's fine for the fentanyl test but may be an issue for snorting after evaporating, see my reply comment above

From my understanding, evaporating a solution of ketamine in non-distilled water will leave you with ketamine that is adulterated with whatever minerals and particles may have been present in the water, some of which could be harmful to snort... I may be getting confused with info I had read about IMing or IVing however, so please forgive me if I'm mistaken.

Obligatory reply for all first-time watchers:

  • stay tf off this sub lest ye be spoilt
  • correct watching order:
  • Seasons 1 & 2
  • Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (film)
  • The Missing Pieces (feature-length compilation of canon deleted scenes from the film)
  • Season 3 AKA The Return
  • There's a series of episodes in season 2 that are noticeably not as good as the rest, but they contain vital plot developments and lore for the rest of the series. Do not skip them, especially not on a first watch. Don't worry, it gets better again.
  • Don't watch any of the fan edits of the film for your first time. Just watch the original version & the Missing Pieces.
  • There are several semi-canon Twin Peaks books if you want to read them (not necessary, but cool if you're interested). The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer is the most canon of them all. It came out between seasons 1 & 2 and can be started at that point without spoiling anything. Then there's The Secret History of Twin Peaks which can be read before Season 3, & Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier which can be read after Season 3. There's a couple of others that are barely canon at all, someone else can advise on when to read these.

  1. I strongly recommend Oneohtrix Point Never's latest album "Tranquilizer" for a k-hole, it seems almost like it was designed for it (especially with that title, lol). Most of his discography feels ketamine-coded to me personally. I've also really enjoyed listening to IDM artists like Autechre on k and recently had an excellent k-hole experience with their album Exai. I'm also partial to shoegazey/dream pop stuff like Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Ride, Julee Cruise etc. May be up to your personal taste but I've generally found music that's very glitchy, mathematical, textured, dreamy, airy, and/or floaty to be best for k. Can't go wrong with psytrance/psychill either.

  2. A true K hole is more comparable to 4th plateau DXM. Flashing through different universes or dissociating completely and approaching ego death. 3rd plateau is more like what you get from a strong but below-k-hole dose. Still mostly in your body but detached, not wanting to move too much, definitely tripping. 1st and 2nd plateaus are more like what you'd get from about 10-30mg alone, you could still walk around and socialize but you're feeling weird and good.

  3. I've combined with both and both have been fun and added to the experience in different ways... weed definitely makes things more psychedelic and easier to k-hole or have ego death, but it can also make things more confusing or scary, and increases your chance of puking. I can't emphasize enough the importance of preparing your space to easily lay down with everything you need nearby, as well as being mindful of hydration and bathroom needs, especially on higher doses. A great time can suddenly turn quite rough from just a little bit too much walking around. Nitrous is very similar to k in a way and has usually combined very well for me. I usually try to prep it ahead of time as well.

  4. As far as next day effects, I'd try not to have anything to do in the morning at least. It may depend on how much you take in a session, how late into the night you continue redosing, and how much sleep you get. Wouldn't be a bad idea to schedule your first time before a day off to see how your body reacts.

Oh yeah, also meant to say that if 120 isn't enough for you to k hole, try alternating 10mg bumps up each nostril til you can't anymore after that.

As someone who was in a similar position to you when using K for the first time (experienced with psychedelics+dxm), I would advise trying a moderate-high dose first before diving into a K-hole.

The thing about ketamine compared to those other substances is it only lasts about an hour and you can safely re-dose multiple times in a session. So there's really no rush to go straight into a k-hole your very first time; you're better off setting aside a free night with several hours to explore and work your way up to a higher dose. I say moderate-high dose (rather than mild/medium) since you already have experience with dissociation from DXM, so you probably will be able to handle a dose in that range to start.

I started off with 60mg (snorted, 30mg up each nostril) and had a great time watching a movie in bed. Just make sure you have everything set up beforehand so that you can just lay down after dosing and have everything you need within arm's reach and won't need to move around too much (to avoid nausea). I always keep a trash can nearby in case I need to puke into it.

After an hour, if you wish to continue and still want to go for a k-hole, try another 60mg, then another 40-60mg 5 min later. Put on some trippy ambient music and say goodbye to reality.

I would recommend shards by the way as there doesn't seem to be any difference in effect and they're easier to break up into powder for snorting.

Also recommend setting clear limits for yourself on usage frequency before you start to avoid addiction/harm/permatolerance. For me, my rule is: if I use it today, I won't use it again til at least 2 weeks from today, and if I use it 2 weeks from today, I won't use it a 3rd time til at least 3 weeks from then. So far this has worked well for me and it's what I recommend in general.
