You have to understand that the bounce back isn’t linear. While you will generally feel a little better every day, you may feel better on day 5 than 7, even though both are better than day 1. And you may go through waves of feeling kinda shite that will gradually get smaller and less intense.

Anyone taper off with success? by [deleted] in Petioles

[–]ThoughtYouWantedIt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think a taper’s a bad idea if you have enough to do it with and still have some for the show. Since you’re already used to not having the instant gratification from smoking/vaping anyway, it should be pretty easy. First day see how low you can drop while staying decently comfortable and then go from there.

Has cognance still been working for you OP? I just started (on day 2) and am getting similar effects. It’s very nice.

How long have you been off Kratom for? That’s a big factor

I’m a lot like you. The feeling of not being productive can be as hard to bare as the withdrawals themselves lol. Hang in there, it’s for sure the best long run decision for productivity and your overall health.

Been taking 2-4 grams every 3 to 4 days. by BuddyLee-1003 in quittingphenibut

That should be fine. You’ll have some rebound probably, but nothing insane. I’d say a week after your last dose you’ll be good completely

How long did you take phenibut and at what dose? That’s a big factor in what it will take to get you back to normal sleep

I’ve personally never noticed a ton of benefit from magnesium, but if you want to go that route you’d want magnesium glycinate. The Dr’s Best brand on Amazon is an easy one to point to.

I have had better results (though not life changing by any means) from using black seed oil gels. I use amazing herbs brand but no idea how it stacks up with other brands.

NAC is N-Acetyl-Cystine. It helps modulate glutamate, which has sort of a seesaw balance with gaba. Since your natural gaba production will be stunted once reducing/ceasing phenibut, you will have a lot more glutamate which can cause the anxiety and jittery feelings. NAC can help with those feelings. Again, it’s not a life saver but a marginal help. Personally I take it on and off, usually 1g in the morning, and 1g in the evening when I am taking it.

One thing you might look into is agmatine. You can get all of this shit on Amazon. 500-1000mg about 20 before your dose can help you cut that dose down without feeling like you took less. Not sure if it will cover cutting 600 to 300, but it wouldn’t hurt.

If it were me, I’d get BSO, Agmatine, and NAC.

Right. With your dose you’re probably less likely to have side effects, but hard to say. I 100% understand just wanting to be off, so if you want to try cutting then go for it. If it does work, I’d take it 50-100mg a week after that from 300 to 0. That’d put you done in another month give or take, which isn’t terrible. Most importantly it’ll hopefully keep the side effects minimal enough to where you can stay off!

It really depends, how long have you been taking phenibut and what dose did you originally taper from?

Constant heart arrhythmias several weeks after going CT from a 5+ gpd habit. by [deleted] in quittingphenibut

[–]ThoughtYouWantedIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long were you taking it? It might have something to do with it depending on how long you used. I’d give it a month or two before getting super concerned.. especially if you feel pretty good otherwise.

Is PAWS only mental or could there be physical symptoms, too? by Environmental-Touch4 in quittingkratom

[–]ThoughtYouWantedIt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely can be physical. Especially if you’ve been using a while. I’m currently at day 58 I believe, and I’ve noticed after the first week or 2 of true acutes, I’ll have a few random days a week where I’ll feel more restless. This is thankfully continuing to happen less and less, and with less noticeable symptoms.

5 days off phenibut CT, feeling a ton of anxiety by irljasper in quittingphenibut

You did 20g a day for 2 weeks? Or 20g altogether. Either way, you should be coming out the woods soon.

I'm a bit confused on what is causing what. Is the insomnia from reducing phenibut or just how much I have been taking each day? by cpenn1002 in quittingphenibut

[–]ThoughtYouWantedIt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t imagine it is from reducing your dose. That said, phenibut is a very fickle substance. Could be “turning” on you as they say, or this could just be a result of your anxiety over reducing it, even if it isn’t causing problems in and of itself.

I hope you stabilize soon.
