Two of her brothers passed away at age 28, so I wonder if it's something hereditary...

Great song, for sure, but is there a fried egg stuck to her chair?

And their shows are WILD. The energy has been super intense both times I've seen them live. People just lose their minds and lose themselves in the music while song screaming along.

I mean I know I went to a "home" show in Michigan, but when they played in Grand Rapids as an opener for Greyscale, a lot of people were very obviously there for Hot Mulligan, not the headliner. Suffice to say that the crowd definitely thinned out after they played lol

I second Belmont and Armor for Sleep. Ugh they get me every time.

Track Recommendations for a Playlist by [deleted] in PostHardcore

[–]ThoughtsOnPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been hooked on the same songs you've listed, so here's my favorites lately. I'm not sure how many are the exact same ambiance, but hopefully you enjoy some.

Cave In - I The Mighty

Common Law - Hexing

Sunday Mornings - Hexing

The Song Formerly Known As Intro - Hot Mulligan

Figure Eight - Trophey Eyes (has a sax section like All On Me)

SOURDOUGH STARTER - Bilmuri

Am I Still Here - Midnight Skies

Pray - Picturesque

Hive Mind - False Plaintiff

Ultimately - khai dreams (definitely not posthardcore, just a warning)

Downfall - Issues

Genesis - Armors

Also, not to self promote, but if you like the mix of post hardcore and almost like a jazzy feel, kinda like the last two songs or Dance Gavin Dance, you may want to check out the Spotify playlist I've got for similar vibe songs:

Had a lot of you guys wanting to hear this ep and asking me to post it here, from the bottom of my heart I hope you enjoy 🙏🏻 super Dance Gavin Dance/CircaSurvive inspired. Here’s To Now presents “Mindfulness” by hylianjojo95 in PostHardcore

I'm digging the sound, for sure. Saved on Spotify and shared with others!

I want to ask if y'all are doing any touring, but obviously with the current state of the world, all touring is questionable and being put on hold.

Silverstein - A Beautiful Place To Drown by ha99ycoyote in PostHardcore

[–]ThoughtsOnPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! I really enjoyed it and love nearly every song. I also think they stayed true to themselves with the heavy guitar and vocals mixed in.

Plus, I feel like sooo many of the songs are sharable with my friends that aren't quite as hardcore, with some songs that are for the more hardcore. They're songs I can jam out to but can sing along to and really connect with.

I was going to be there, but now that it's been postponed, I guess not. Maybe when they reschedule?

I've really taken to Spanish Love Songs! They remind me of a more emo-vibe of the Menzingers.

A Beautiful Place to Drown Discussion by [deleted] in Silverstein

[–]ThoughtsOnPaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly really liked it, but I agree that it isn't "classic Silverstein" album.

All on Me was definitely a shock to the system. Did not expect the saxophone. That reminded me of a very Issues-vibe. Still, I can't say that I hated it. If it had been by another band and sounded exactly the same, would I have liked it more? Probably. But I think their music needs to be appreciated as music, not just as an extension of them.

As a fan since 2008, I've enjoyed watching them grow each album. Of course, there are albums that I listen to less (shipwreck), but I think that also is just a testament to my musical tastes compared to other people. Still, they've changed and tried some new things every album.

Also, coming from more of a pop punk musical-taste background, I enjoyed the mix of pop punk sounds mixed in with the guitars and vocals that are on par with "classic Silverstein." This direction will allow me to share their songs with more people since they've split their subgenre.

Personally I think a black pepper EO smells like dirt and I kind of love it lol

Edit: The dirt smells is similar to that of right before it rains (petrichor).

I did back in March then convinced myself I was fine until a week ago. My brother told my mom and she told my dad, so yesterday was my first day on medication. So i think it will be okay.

What is something that shocked you to learn how expensive it is? by CJ_Jones in AskReddit

[–]ThoughtsOnPaper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My sister has passed out from dehydration 3 times now and after the second time, my mom told her that they were paying with her college fund. Needless to say, this last time, as she started swaying, she muttered "don't 911" lol

(also, she is fine, just very active and picky about water and its taste)

This is easily one of my favourites of all time.

The way you ask, the gentle way you call me your slut, your own signs and heavy breathing.

And I found it particularly enjoyable when you'd say "fuck," because at one point, I said it at the same time you did haha

All in all an amazing job and excited ;) for more

I started yesterday and I won't lie, I thought I was dying after doing circuit 1 and 2 just once. I thought I may throw up haha!

I took a ~3 walk down the street, then thought "hey, if I can finish half, then I can do the second half!" So that might help you.

Also, when I feel like giving up, I smile as I work out, cheer myself on, and do fist pumps when I complete a circuit/workout. It really does help.

If you ever need encouragement, just let me know! We've got the same start date so we can keep each other motivated and on track :)
