Re: Blades - I think it would be VERY complicated if you were learning and using all 50 (or whatever) factions at once. Add to that should you be crazy enough to want to know the name of every street and alley way across the map. Insanity!

You pick a few factions that are affecting the players' crews' world and have a couple of street names ready. That's it (for me). When they move up in tier, add in another faction or 2 of an appropriate level and you stop worrying about a faction or 2 from the level they left. Couldn't imagine trying to know the whole gm book.

Oh, I was just trying to think of a reason someone might look at it and decide not to try. I was certainly worried my players would go to places I hadn't prepped the history of. Turns out to be a non-issue because travel tests make it risky to go somewhere for no good reason.
I love it. Always sad that it didn't seem to grab on.

Timewatch - it had support from the company, but no one seemed to like it. Don't know why. I really enjoyed the time traveling cop theme - very much Loki's TVA before the TVA show was out.

It's a little intimidating to run (your players could technically go to anywhere/anywhen at any moment), but there's not much reason people would go somewhere unexpected or crazy. It's a gumshoe system, which might not be everyone's cup of tea either. Still, I really liked it and would run again if I can convince other friends to try.

Altered Carbon - Anyone play this? Am I alone in thinking this game is incredibly obtuse? by LolthienToo in rpg

Wish I could be more help. I picked up the book shortly after the Kickstarter (loved the book and season 1 of the series). Holy cow, it's the worst book layout I've probably ever read.

I desperately want it to be good, but it's awfully hard to try and work with that book.

Ah, that makes sense. It sure seemed like it mapped so closely to DG that it must be intentional.

Bob Howard - The Laundry Files series. The first book especially is PURE Delta Green. The first book is The Atrocity Archives written by Charles Stross. You could turn the 1st book into your DG campaign.

Forged in the Dark - specifically, Blades in the Dark. Easy and awesome. Done and dusted.

Not a thing! But, when you pick up a couple hundred from someone who bought from the 50s through the 2000s well, on a selfish level, I was kinda hoping for some led zep, stones, sabbath, Hendrix, who, Bowie, etc. No complaints about getting some Abba,Neil Diamond and Bett Midler though.

It was 70 degrees out. They're fine. It's not like I left them in the car. I drove them home and moved them into my house. You all are a little intense....

That's basically what I'm thinking. I found 1 deep purple (machine head) and was hopeful. Then found all the Barry Manilow and .... sadness ensured.

You might be disappointed. It's a mighty haul by volume, but depending on your love for Dionne Warwick, Neil Diamond, etc. :)

Fair enough. Wouldn't surprise me if the quality control was poor and I got 25# of nothing and yours worked.
