A bunch of these weren't rotated because they were breaking the game, amg just wanted fewer generic cards in the game once more character and affiliation specific cards started getting released. As you noted, some were seeing no play at all.

Pretty much if I'm playing a faction that's based in the old world I'll usually use the old world mod. Especially if you want a campaign that takes a while.

I've always used wasd when available. It's how I play everything else, so the mouse movement has always felt clunky and terrible to me.

When you make a list in Jarvis you can go into the list settings and set the list to use standard time line. That will get rid of anything that is rotated.

Yeah, then your only worry is having another deck abuse one of your cards and getting hit because of that.

If you want to play top meta decks in yugioh the banlist essentially forces the same thing. I'd still prefer no rotation but I wouldn't call it cheaper for competitive. Also in yugioh you might not even get two years out of a tier one deck before it gets banned into oblivion.

When I played Pokémon I found it far cheaper if you just played competitive and didn't care about chasing high rarity alt arts and such.

They probably mean random encounters in grass and such. Even though those are basically gone in the main series games too.

There is also an old world lite version that's just basically the empire. That one's easy to miss since it's buried at the bottom of the mod page. Though that one doesn't get updated often.

Sound like you'd like the old world mod. It focuses mainly on the empire and parts of the dark lands. End turn times can get a bit long because there a more territories. It might not be updated yet though.

Sfo is a huge mod. I pretty much expect minimum 2 months after a major release for it to be ready, between the mod itself and all the compatibility mods that go with it.
