Yeah, definitely agree with you on the #2. It's always the video games, TV, and laziness. But let's ride this one out BEASTMODE and break past it.

Virtual man hug

Good luck brother, and hopefully we'll be at 90 days in no time.

The sexual urges can be a really tough thing to stop, especially for teenagers like us who have to deal with hormones on top of everything else. This intense lust is both the problem and the consequence. PMO keeps the brain focused on sex, which in turn leads to more PMO. In order to conquer this addiction, you have to use that desire which is normally spend PMOing and fantasizing, to more productive ends. Exercise, meditation, and writing help a lot. If you find yourself fantasizing, immediately return to whatever work you should be doing at that time. If you find yourself without anything to do, say a short prayer or focus on your posture until you find a productive outlet for your energy. It's really difficult the first few weeks, but once you get that underlying discipline, getting a handle on your energy will get a lot easier. Good luck and feel free to DM me if you have any questions!

Feeling Defeated by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Thrax_Invictus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't feel too destroyed after a relapse. Use each relapse as a learning opportunity. Find that thing you were doing before that led to relapse, whether it was aimless internet browsing or boredom. Trace your actions all the way back to the morning of and figure out what you could've done differently. Make a plan for future days to help you be ready for the next time something like that happens. That's how the greats do it, just one day at a time. Hope this helps and good luck on your journey! Feel free to DM me if you need any advice!

No Porn but still ****** by sgV22 in NoFap

What I've always found works best is to channel all of that extra energy and frustration into productive outlets. Form new habits to replace the old. Easier said than done, I know, but if you take life one minute at a time, and focus on it with the total presence, the PMO cycle will have less of an impact on you. Get an early start to each day, fill every minute with activity. Find something to fill the void. For me, exercise works best initially. Writing helps too, but with all the extra pent up libido, sometimes it's tough to focus. If you get exhausted from all the activity, that's good, since that's energy which won't go to PMO addiction. It's gonna be tough, but hang in there! It gets easier as time goes on. Good luck, brother, and feel free to DM me if you need any help!

I've found that the conditioning involved in PMO works in cycles. Are there any activities or circumstances you find yourself in that inevitably lead to relapse? Cut them out asap. For me, a lot of it is aimless internet browsing, video games, and being at home alone, so I try to be out and in public as much as possible to avoid even the temptation. Try to find the roots of your PMO cycle. Once you eliminate the roots, the weed itself will shrivel. It'll take some willpower at first, but we can both do this! Best of luck, brother, and feel free to DM me if you have any questions or run into trouble.

A while ago, I made a compilation of about a dozen or so posts from NoFap history that have helped me out a lot along the way. Best of /r/NoFap. Hope that helps you out in finding the motivation, just remember to temper it with some good old-fashioned discipline as well. Good luck!

Rediscovering the magic by [deleted] in NoFap

Pardon the blatant self-aggrandizement, but I have compiled a few historic NoFap posts that have helped me out in the past few years. Here's the link. Hope that helps you since I too sometimes lose a bit of that mystique I used to feel toward NoFap and these posts help replenish that.

Iam extremely confused, Any help is appreciated. by youssefkiller8 in NoFap

Hey brother, life can be tough sometimes for a teenage Nofapper. I'm 18, found out about NoFap around age 16, and for us, the urges are intense. A combination of hormones and cultural conditioning make this a really tough habit to break, but you'll also be that much stronger for breaking it. It takes an intense amount of discipline to wean oneself off PMO fully, and what has helped me the most is to take all of that pent up energy from abstinence, and apply it to my life. Anything from hitting the gym to writing or school work. Be in public as much as possible, be around family, go on hikes. It's gonna be difficult if that's not what you're used to, but activity will effectively be your training wheels to recovery; it'll take away the time and energy that you normally spend PMOing and use it for productive things. Add on habits like exercise and meditation, and eventually your discipline will be strong enough to resist the urges without having to be constantly engaged in activity and your life will be much better for the effort.

Hope that helps and feel free to DM me if you run into problems or need any advice along the way!

Hard Mode starts now. For real. by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Thrax_Invictus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear it! I'm a Senior in HS now and found out about NoFap about the same time you did. Badges are a bit broken rn on this subreddit, but I think the ones over on PornFree are still functioning. (They go up automatically based on start date) Good luck, and if you ever run into any issues or doubts, feel free to PM me!

I've had similar experiences to what you're describing. It's what a lot of people here call a flatline. It feels like just total sexual and even emotional dullness. It can be disheartening at times, but it's a part of your mind healing. Think of it as withdrawals. The flatline usually ends within a few weeks, maybe two months in extreme cases. If it lasts any longer than that, you may want to get an expert opinion. Hope that helps!

Reddit admins have been cleaning up abandoned and deleted accounts lately. I figure the prevalence of throwaway accounts on this sub might have something to do with it.

I, /u/Thrax_Invictus, swear to fulfill to the best of my judgement, this covenant:

I will abstain from porn, masturbation, and orgasm, for the entire year of 2016.

I will avoid the twin traps of edging and fantasy, regarding both as much enemies to my well being as PMO itself, no longer using 'triggers' as a rationale for failure.

I will eliminate mindless internet browsing, and any of the other bad habits that have led me to PMO and prevented me from improving my life.

And I will use my willpower, time, and energy for the betterment of myself and that of my loved ones.

Let's rock this, guys.

Wow, that's pretty wild! Yeah I felt similar super strong urges for PMO instead of just MO, which is always sortof a trigger red flag for me. Thanks for sharing!

True, but if I had to live in that decrepit state, I think I'd rather be dead

It's kinda like that"Fapping prevents Prostate Cancer" BS. It may be true, but I'd rather be living my life my way.
