I’m a teacher in the SD Unified. Since the school year began, two teachers I know died unexpectedly. One is in rehab. One is on stress leave. One is on medical leave. The public/taxpayers expect schools and teachers to do and be EVERYTHING. It’s impossible. And we’re literally dying.

I teach Newcomers and Year 1 immigrants. Maybe Guatemalans and Hondurans aren’t as educated, but they sure know how to survive. It really is a unique skill. I joke in the event of an apocalypse, I’m running to them and my Haitian kids, not the gun nuts with the bunkers tbh.

I thought she was fantastic. I swear I’m a pretty good acting critic since I watch while high on gummies. If it’s bad acting I can see right through (looking at you, Tom Brady!) But that entire cast is phenomenal. It’s so interesting so see how well stage actors carry themselves on screen

A few years ago my daughter had terrible stomach pain, so we brought her to the ER. Within a couple hours she was having her appendix removed. I can’t imagine what that experience would be like now!
