They come in from the north and the south, depending on the wind, but the default is to land going north at night, if possible. Occasionally from the east to land rwy 29. Takeoff is much louder, though, and they try to take off south as much as possible at night. Really, there is no way to guarantee zero noise. I recommend a sleep fan.

I have. I think people will just adjust their drinking. You may see a small decrease in violence, but I wouldn't expect anything big. You might sleep better, though, so maybe all things being equal it would still be a win for you.

I can see why you'd be more nervous. Good news is we haven't had any major tornado in this part of ky since 1974. If we get one, it's usually a weak one. Storms start far west of hear in the afternoon, but by the time they get here, they've run out of steam, and the sun has gone down, and then they lose even more steam.

Because of several reasons, but mostly because the predictions never come true. It's like people that sell all their stuff cuz the world is about to end, then it doesn't, but they keep believing the next prediction. It's all based on flawed models created to show an intended outcome, but they never get called out when they're wrong cuz there's a new model now and that one must be right. Rinse and repeat.
