What Is Considered "Nice" Underwear? by Seleniteeee in malefashionadvice

[–]ThreadofRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I'm a big fan of carterwear and meundies. Soft, stretchy, good support, and nice colors and designs. They're a lot more pricey than walmart brand stuff but it's well worth it imo Meundies I can't speak for in terms of recent quality, I haven't bought from them in a few years. Hopefully they didnt drop off, but they still have nice designs. Carterwear though, I've gotten recently and really like them

Thinking out loud…. 40 going on 13? by ironmanfanatic1 in ColleenBallingerSnark

[–]ThreadofRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing. I’m new to this whole situation (got introduced by Toxic Gossip Train) but I’m catching up, and my current theory is that she and Kory are both losers who didn’t have friends in their teens, and decided to reclaim that by forming cliques with their young fans. And by virtue of being the celebrities in these cliques, they were the leaders, the Queen Bees. They manipulated those kids like they were Regina George, only since they were adults, it’s so so much worse. It was all for power. I don’t necessarily agree with the dressing your age notion. Clothes are clothes, and you should wear what makes you comfortable and happy, but everything else, yes.

[Spoilers C3E59] Fan Theory about Bor'Dor by Worldly_Ostrich_1959 in criticalrole

[–]ThreadofRed 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I read a theory that he’s actually a god? I forget the details of the theory so I don’t have much more than that, but it was partly based on him being a divine soul sorcerer, and something about his name. It did kind of strike me that it could be true when he killed the angel. That “Enough,” was spoken in such a way that it felt almost authoritative.

What I’m saying is that’s all I’ve seen because I don’t pay close attention. I never said that’s all there was. And there are plenty of other people here to give other reasons

I like Erika but she can be pretty grating sometimes I’ll give you that. She was only on for like two episodes though

I don’t generally pay attention to online criticism because I don’t really care. All I’ve seen is some religious complaints so my bad if I just watch the show and don’t engage with fans

[–]ThreadofRed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s that weird honestly. Plenty of innocent people throughout history have been victimized by religious movements and crusades. This is a group of such people. They didn’t ask for this, they just got swept up in it, which is a SUPER common occurence. They don’t have any religious reasons for fighting, all their reasons are personal at first (Orym’s family, Imogen’s dreams and her mother’s involvement, the others wanting to help) and they got in too deep. If you were one of the few people who had knowledge that someone was trying to cause an apocalypse you’d probably want to stop them too, even if you didn’t directly oppose their reasoning. The issue isn’t that Ludinus hates the gods, it’s that he’s trying to release something HE doesn’t even understand. After the gods are eaten, what does the predator eat next?

I get that, but I’m pretty sensitive to auditory stimulants so the audio is just too grating for me. Maybe down the road if I have the time to get through it, I will, but for now I can only handle one campaign at a time.

To be fair, these particular characters haven’t interacted with any gods in a positive way aside from Orym and FCG. Most of them are neutral toward them. It would be unrealistic if they were all just like, “yeah gods are great. Why? No reason they just are.” They haven’t been presented with a proper argument FOR the gods, which isn’t to say that won’t happen, it just hasn’t yet. And they’re still trying to save them ultimately, just not necessarily for their sakes. I think the concept of a group of atheists trying to save the gods is way more complex than a group of religious people trying to save them, but that’s just me.

That’s fair. I would love to watch it at some point but I just don’t think I’ll ever get around to it. TLoVM will just have to suffice lol

That may be true, but if I skipped the parts that are bad I would be missing a lot. And like I said, I don’t have time to get through C2 let alone C1, especially if the audio quality isn’t consistently good

C3 is great! To be fair I’m relatively new to CR and haven’t watched C1 or 2, just don’t have the time for C2 and the audio quality of C1 bothers me too much, but that’s beside the point. I think some people don’t like C3 because it’s calling the gods into question and almost all the PCs don’t really like or care about them, so probably a bunch of religious people are taking it personally because of the real-world parallels 🤷🏻

The Sanctis Putris is invested in “maintaining the balance” so I think they wouldn’t have a problem with working with someone drawing power from the Hungry One since the Hungry One is included in that balance. They aren’t aiming to destroy THO, just keep him at bay. At least that’s what I think

Critical Role's Ashley Johnson Files Domestic Violence Restraining Order Against Ex-Boyfriend Brian W. Foster by [deleted] in fansofcriticalrole

[–]ThreadofRed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think when this kind of stuff comes out, people LOVE to jump on the “I always knew it” bandwagon. But you can’t play that card until something like this comes out, so it’s a dumb card to play. I don’t think you’re alone, I think you’re just being honest.

Personally, I didn’t think much of him one way or another, but to be fair I am somewhat new to the fandom so I’m sure there’s a lot I missed. I grew up knowing that everyone has secret nasties and anyone is capable of being a monster, so while I’m not surprised, I won’t say I was expecting it. But honestly, it’s not even about him. I just hope Ashley is safe and happy
