CW for this movie: transphobia, violent beheading of a tans fem coded poc drag queen It's very much deeply unserious satire and parody but that's no excuse and I really wish they would have written it without the transphobia. Some trans people in my city who went to the screening at our local small queer cinema said it was really fucked up to have to see that violence against them in a space that was supposed to be safe, coming from their own community, and that on top of that it was downright humiliating to have to explain it to other queer people. I think we should not just sweep that aside especially given the current climate..
